Remember the famous preacher of our day all made many mistakes when they first got started, only no one was watching. They were able to make mistakes & learn in relative obscurity. KS will not have that luxury.

Particularly not when you are asking the world to watch...

That'll leave a mark!!

Does that include the four years of college when he was a student?

And, did he receive his honorary doctorate before his BS degree?  ;)

Hahahahahhaha.....
BTW I love your name.... It makes me lol every time I see it.

Over the years what % of students chose HAC because of the Pastor & popular bible teachers?
Will HAC be able to recruit new students without popular youth speakers promoting the school?

The College website appears to be a little out of date regarding staff who are no longer there. What Bible teachers are left?

I attended because I grew up there.  I was going to go to Valpo, but was convinced to do one year.  During that year, God changed my heart to pursue His direction instead of mine.  I appreciated the lesser known people more than the big-names, but that was me.

Being very familiar with the politics of IFB colleges and recruitment procedure - Primarily, the pastor sets the course and the students follow.  Secondarily, the students have a good time at the conference / camp so they attend school there.  The typical high school senior going to these colleges are looking for the Will of God and will follow wherever they are told to go.  Recruitment becomes a matter of convincing the pastor that the school is the right place while providing excitement for the teen.

HAC can still put on a good show.  Loyalists will still send students there.  Names can be made at any time - just drop a doctorate in front of the name and have someone proclaim he is the greatest and....... wala!  A big name is born.  All of them preach the exact same sermon in the exact same style.

Sad but true.

What Bible teachers are left? What "big name youth speakers" are still on staff?

If he does, then he has 2 BS degrees.

Hyles is the ONLY IFB.  The rest, even the HACkers, are just pretenders.  8)

Wonder what formula was used to give Mario Cuozzo an honorary doctorate?  Even when I was a kid, Boardway was given one waaaay back----just think, a NIPSCO higher up with a HAC honorary doctorate.  Wonder if Boardway ever hung that on the NIPSCO office wall?

He was made an honorary Doc?

I hope they printed a  :) on the certificate so he would have one because I never saw his when leading singing. He always reminded me of a J Pope quote, "He looked as excited as a cheerleader at a car wreck.

I just read some more on their website. Now, these kids are still in their twenties. And, KS says that Jared Long is one of the most gifted Bible teachers he has ever heard? Oh Puleeze!!!  These kids need to get their heads out of their but-s.

Spurgeon doesn't count, he was a godless Calvinist.
