I believe it was Princeton, some Ivy League school.
Sacks of potato chips was the punch line.

It was renamed Schaap field and is still named that... Generally because it is full of it.... Goose poop.RAIDER said:RAIDER said:"What was/is the name of the football field at HAC?"

It was a friday. That evening tables were set up in the hallways for people to sell wares. The computer programer Miss Judith Wapner was in the main computer room frying eggrolls for sale later. She needed more oil for her fryer. She left a fryer with oil boiling to go get more oil. When she returned, paper used for computer printouts were on fire. Because of the amount of paper the fire was soon out of control.
Fire crews from 3 departments were dispatched. 1 girl had to be treated for smoke inhalation.
As a security officer, on Saturday morning, I accompanied the fire chief as he inspected the damage. What he said about the cause is unrepeateable.
This is the same area that Jack Schaap was turning into his campus office. Today it is the office of the president.

I will give you credit, it was a fryer fire, but donuts.
Also, the president's office is where the cooking room was (and one of the two confessionals). Next room North was the computer room. It was later transformed into a room for Ed Tutton and his staff that traveled and helped recruit students. Then most recently was going to be for Jon Tutton and his staff that dealt with student life. When I was there the other day, it was on its way to be something else but no signage indicating what.
Thanks for the walk down memory lane.
