Who was the childhood hero of Jackie-boy that he was able to witness to & supposedly win?

Ted Williams!
Got it. He asked if Ted died is he knew for sure he'd go to heaven. After Ted being a spokesman for a fishing gear company for years & having done a lot of fishing after baseball, he said something like, "If they have fishing there I'd want to go."

If I remember correctly, Dr. Hyles started giving Ted Williams lifetime stats to him.  Williams said, "You know more about me than I do"!

...and to Tom Selleck on a plane, too!

I don't know if either is true as I've only heard others say that he did.

"What famous coach did Dr. Hyles meet in a men's room.  This coach had retired and Dr. Hyles asked him what he was going to do?"

Adolph Rupp

Nice work, Smellin!  Adolph Rupp was the legendary basketball coach of Kentucky.  I believe he had announced his retirement.  When Dr. Hyles asked him the question Rupp responded, "Sir, I guess I'll just die".  A few weeks later Dr. Hyles picked up the paper and read of his death.

"What Bible verse was posted outside the nursery at FBCH?"

When we were college students moving from out of town we were required to join FBCH.

What did we....(FCBH members/students)....have to do in order to ask our pastor a question.....or get booted out of his office?

When the old auditorium was turned into a 2 story building the pews were moved to some hallways. What did too many dating students do there?

Hint: This strange activity grossed out most others passing by them.

Stand in line and wait.  Make sure you had your question written down when you entered the office.

Lester Roloff

A huge truck arrived on main campus and dumped the grapefruit close to the old dining hall.  Every student could take all that they wanted and it was FANTASTIC!.
