What caused the fire in the computer room in 1991?

It was a friday. That evening tables were set up in the hallways for people to sell wares. The computer programer Miss Judith Wapner was in the main computer room frying eggrolls for sale later. She needed more oil for her fryer. She left a fryer with oil boiling to go get more oil. When she returned, paper used for computer printouts were on fire. Because of the amount of paper the fire was soon out of control.

Fire crews from 3 departments were dispatched. 1 girl had to be treated for smoke inhalation.
As a security officer, on Saturday morning, I accompanied the fire chief as he inspected the damage. What he said about the cause is unrepeateable.

This is the same area that Jack Schaap was turning into his campus office. Today it is the office of the president.

Okay now I heard that it was caused by friction from one of the larger staff ladies walking down the hall. :o :o :o

If J.W. was involved, I'm going with donuts.
Eggrolls look too much like health food...

Close enough. Dr Robert Billings was the first president of HAC. His father was a Mohawk, and he grew up on an Indian reservation in NY. It was estimated that he helped start 400 Christian schools, and he was the first executive director of the Moral Majority, as well as serving 6 years in the Dept of Education.
