Why, he's just a little ol cutie. Why would you delete it? I can't see the video.
That's what I said when I found a pin hole in the high voltage leads that supplied 13,000 volts for the grid of a radar scope.I'm energized.
Wow, that fake news bible butchered "vexation of spirit"!!!Vanity of vanities, all is vanity and striving after wind.
Maybe he should quit messing with God's Bride?
I'm gonna keep my MAW opinion out of this. I was at NAS Glenview til it shut down. That may be your dads view but that is not the view of the pilots that flew both. By the time the F18 launched the F14 design
I'm not a pilot, but I do follow a few Navy and Airforce aircraft sights and every pilot i can recall says the F18 was a much more advanced airframe. It had significantly better electronics, better maneuverability and was also much easier to maintain and burned far less fuel. It was also a multirole plane that served the purposes of the Navy and Marines. This was something the F14 was never designed to do. By the time the F18 was introduced the F14 design was 15 years old. The modern F18 could serve the air superiority role, the attack role, the ground troop support role, and with the inyroduction of the F18 Growler in 2008 in serves as an electronic attack aircraft that suppresses and jams enemy air defenses and communications systems, and protects US air and ground forces. The F18 replaced no less than 5 different dated planes in the Navy Arsenal. The one thing the F18 did not have was the the AIM-54 Phoenix that had a 85 to 100 mile range. The newest version of the Aim120 (D) is believed to have a comprable range to the old AIM 54.
Proving which plane is better is like proving which car brand is better but everyone i follow says the F14 was way ahead of its time in 1970 but by 1985 it lacked many advances in modern technology. I believe some F14 are still in service in the Iranan Air force. The F22 is still the best air superiority aircarft in the world but the F15 EX will get the job done as well.
I couldn't tell anyone squat about A/C stats. But the Canucks had F18's when I got stuck up in Goose Bay Labrador for 30 days. What does MAW mean?I'm gonna keep my MAW opinion out of this. I was at NAS Glenview til it shut down.
I heard both sides of this ad nauseum.
MAW can mean a number things..... but i think in the sense prophet means - it stands for marine aircraft wing.... .I couldn't tell anyone squat about A/C stats. But the Canucks had F18's when I got stuck up in Goose Bay Labrador for 30 days. What does MAW mean?
how ya been anishinaabe?... .long time no see... ..... ...my dad told me the policy that forced the navy and marines to retire most of their aircraft in favor of using the F18 in all roles was part of the robert mcnamara doctrine of commonality.... part of which held to a philosphy that making one machine or piece of equipment perform multiple tasks was the best way to go because it saved money.... even if doing that reduced over all capabilities and even if it resulted in heavier losses during a conflict...I'm gonna keep my MAW opinion out of this. Profit?how ya been profit?... .long time no see........ ...my dad told me the policy that forced the navy and marines to retire most of their aircraft in favor of using the F18 in all roles was part of the roberi mcnamara doctrine of commonality.... part of which held to a philosphy that making one machine or piece of equipment perform multiple tasks was the best way to go because it saved money.... even if doing that reduced over all capabilities and even if it resulted in heavier losses during a conflict...
he says the navy began swearing to the "superior" attributes of the F18 after being forced to follow that policy because ... in true navy form - the navy did not want to admit it was reducing it;s capability and risk suffering the embarassment that could cause on the public stage....... ... or something like that.... .... i don;t understand all of that and had no idea who robert mcnamara was... looking him up online was rather un-inspiring.... ... but the guy who shoots arrows with us at the archery range who still flies F18s says he was aware of that mcnamara doctrine and agrees it played a major part in what the navy with the F14 and several other aircraft - rather than upgrading and updating them with newer and better electronics etc... like the airforce has done with the F15....
oops.. ... ...... fixed it.... .....told ya english was not my first language....Profit?
