RebeccasRants said:Umm....if that's a serious question, it's going pretty good. Had great Mother's Day services this morning with several visiting families. Had two adults saved on visitation yesterday. Husband's health is pretty good right now. Third child is about to graduate from high school with four to go. Facing some hard trials but I'm not tying a knot to the end of my rope to hold on--I'm trusting God's unfailing grace to get us through!

I agree with you. Did you know that Popovich is from Merrillville High School?

You know, Smellin, you could claim this one as your own. Go ahead. Don't be humble. Tell us the story about you and Pop.
Smellin Coffee said:OK, here goes.
Teenage soul-winning on Saturdays were amazing. As teens, we would go out to the concrete jungles and play basketball with the locals and after games witness to them. Week after week, we would see scores come to Christ.
One day while in Merrillville, my friend Kevin and I saw a couple guys shooting hoops at a park. We approached them and suggested a game of two-on-two. Sure enough, they agreed.
The score was tied 9-9 with the 10th point being the game-winner. Now, I don't know exactly what happened because I have never dunked a basketball in my life, even on an 8 foot rim, but I felt this surge over me. Kevin passed me the ball down low and as I leaped, I found myself skying, not only over my opponent, but also the rim. I raised the ball to the sky and jammed it down the cylinder. The opponent stood there in awe that I slammed the ball over him to win the game.
After the game, we started talking to the two fellas. My oponent I had dunked over was named Gregg "with 2 Gs" as he said. He told me that in all his years playing for Merrillville High School, no one had ever dunked on him. I explained to him how God endues with power and He gave me the ability to dunk the ball. Gregg sweetly got tears in his eyes and said, "I was dunked on for Jesus" and he bowed his head and asked Jesus into his heart.
A couple decades later, Gregg became an NBA head coach and has won a couple of championships!
