Okay Prophet, from what I understand you are living in Sault Ste. Marie. I know Jonas Moses is up there. There was a church that I went to about ten years back that I think was started by a Northland grad. It was in a little town just south of you. I think, OF ALL THINGS, his name was
Raider!!!!
Do you know if he is still there?
In Kinross?

Anishinabe

Yes, I believe it was Kinross. Haven't been there for 20 years.

I never hunted when I lived up there. I loved fishing though. I used to fish the Seney Wildlife Refuge quite a bit, and also Big Island Lake. Had some great little lakes and camping areas just North of Newberry that I used to fish, but I think that the big fire destroyed that area last year.

Are there any pine thickets?

You've obviously never been anywhere near there.

Just chatted with a missionary friend who is in Mozambique, Africa.  He was in a village and was invited to eat with a family.  He was served goat liver and intestines.  Not only that, he had the same again for breakfast.

He said he has a hard time explaining the experience.  Anyone here ever had that for a meal?

Yes, in a HAC sack lunch.  There was also a pickle with a bite taken off the end of it.  :)

He would have eaten the reproductive organs raw.  Bit strange, that fellow.

Yes. Raw placenta from a cow. Eyeballs. But to me, the worst is when he eats intestines and says, "You know there are still a few bullets in the chamber here." Then he says it tastes poopy but in a good way.

I love it when he says, "I can tell you what that goat had for dinner..."

One of my other favorite quotes is "This tastes a little gamey..."

Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern is my favorite show! It's not just about grossing you out. You learn loads of things about other cultures.
