Do you think any of the 141 people regret writing what they did after reading what was presented to the court?

Yes, I do. The first 40 letters were published, as you know, and I know a couple of the writers had no idea that they would become public. Now I don't know that they regret writing because they had a change of heart, but I know some of them definitely regret writing because the letters became public.

Thanks for posting the court docs.  I was shocked and amazed.  ... I hurt for her and her family.

What is with Eddie telling her and her family it is not safe for them to return to the school/church?  Is he warning or threatening or removing the reminder or all three?  So much for a church wanting to help people.  I wonder if the church is offering to help with the counseling expenses, or sending the family off to a Hawaiian vacation like they did for Eddie?
I cut out some of your quote for space sake.

I am amazed that Mr Lapina told them not to come back.  I agree with what Just john said:

"Rather the church leadership should have invited that family, assuming the victim was known, to the front of the church as an act of contrition, apologized with great humility and sincerity and then preached a sermon that would have brought Godly shame to anyone that would have said a negative word about the family or made them feel unwelcome. "

This is all going to be thrown around publicly, and if FBCH wants to redeem their public image, they should  really at least make a public apology to the victim and family and offer to pay any and all counseling costs.  In the legal world that may open them up to lawsuits, but I don't think, for the cause of Christ and the good of this girl, that that should be central.

I never really thought FBC/HAC was an occult, but supporters have to be brainwashed, if after reading schaaps letter to the victim they still support him!

Sure. When the letters were made public, they got caught defending a diddler of jailbait.

Do you imagine any of the prisoners just might know who he is and his story?

That can't be good

Maybe we can write some letters to his inmate friends.  :).  They deserve to know there is a sex pervert in their midst.

They will all know who he is, and what he is in for...that get's around inside.  But he'll be doing fed time, and that's normally a country club.  Especially if you have $.

Weren't we once supposed to be a nation of laws, not men?

I don't think any prison can be called a country club. It just makes for a good story.

So sad to see yet another sick portrayal children of God in and amongst the world.

So glad to know that God's Word is more powerful than all the damage we children of God can ever do to the name of Christ.

I wonder if the court room is filled?
