In the summer of 1992 (or was it 93) the 4th of July fell on a Thursday. Being in town and thinking he would be invited to Jack Schaap's 4th of July party, Dr. Hyles realized he needed to buy something for the party. Turns out Jack & Cindy forgot to invite Dr. & Mrs. Hyles.

Question: What did Mrs. Hyles buy Dr. Hyles for the party that he never used?

Correct.

He thought they would be invited and he didn't have a polo shirt. I thought he said sports shirt but it's been a long time.

For some reason  the Schaaps didn't invite them and they stayed home by themselves.
