If anyone should know, it would be this Gay................................ I mean Guy. :)

Well, plenty of them exist.

But I can't comment on the debate between White and Lee until I've heard it.

I can say this much in advance: I am predisposed to agree more with Lee.

But I will not debate it on this or any other highly unfavorable venue.

Yes you can be a Christian and be gay...........it is not up to me to play judge with people.

Can a christian be a drunkard? Can a Christian be an adulterer? And the list goes on and on.

Can a person struggle with the sin of homosexuality and still be a Christian?  Yes.  Can a person openly embrace homosexuality as a perfectly acceptable lifestyle and live that lifestyle of sin and be a Christian?  No.

Nominal Christian.
But what does the Bible say to the nominal Christian?

Let every one who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

Yes. We all struggle with sin, but not all with the same sin.

So is a glutton a Christian only when he is abstaining from gluttony? Of course not.

Is a homosexual a Christian only when he is abstaining for practicing homosexuality? Of course not.

Of course you can, just like you can be a Christian who struggles with lying or adultery, or stealing, or anger, or whatever.

Is a glutton a Christian when he doesn't recognize that gluttony is a sin condemned by the Bible?  Of course not.

Is a homosexual a Christian when he doesn't recognize that homosexuality is a sin condemned by the Bible?  Of course not.

Paul often wrote to people he thought were Christians but were obviously not, since they didn't recognize what they were doing was sin.  I guess he was just wasting his time.  Might as well toss out those parts of the NT.

I think the question is more along the line of....

Can a you be a "Gay Christian" and have fellowship with God?

I'd say just about every Christian can admit to some type of sin in their life from time to time. However, there is a desire to find repentance of said sin. Regardless of what that sin might be. Regardless of how long that takes.

I can honestly say, that no "Gay" person can claim an on going, intimately fellowship with God and believe their sin in practicing homosexual/lesbian "sex" is just "alright with Jesus". Many "Gay Christians" are very proud of their sin. They are even prouder that God "approves" of their sin.

I know several "Gay Christians" and they could care less about "living for God". Their respective fellowships are not looking to strengthen a relationship with God. They are looking to give "Gay Christian" a place to find comfort, acceptance and establishment in their deprived lifestyle. I personally avoid such people. Could some of them be genuine "Christians"? I don't know. Not mine to judge a individual person. Yet, I can judge the lifestyle unacceptable to claiming fellowship with God.

Yes. Yes you can.

I think you are conveniently grouping all gay people as having a choice. I propose to you that some do not have a choice, and are actually *gasp* born gay. Yes, some gay people are gay by choice, and acting out of rebellion, shock-factor, or whatever. But, there are some who are not.

I view a gay person who is a Christian the same as any other single/unmarried/celibate Christian.

View it however you want. The real question is how God views it.

I see you provided no evidence at all. Provided SOMETHING besides you're own personal preference.

By the way, I was born a drunk, whore-monger, pimp, thief and a liar. I have never claimed what I was "born with" was alright with God. Everyone has a choice. Being born a certain way doesn't remove your choices in life. I'm pretty sure some people are predisposed to pedophilia. That doesn't change my view of a pedophile. Hang em all.

I believe you are talking about action where R2W is talking about inclination.

Nope.  Not at all.  Those who were confronted with Scriptural truth of that which God condemned as sin were held accountable to either repent or continue in their sin.  If they continue in their sin, they were not saved in the first place.

You're wrong as usual. I am talking about both.
