Are you eating at Chick FIL A today?
Boy you can't even take a compliment on the catch in the Scripture...you seem to have issues.
I apologize. I thought you were still asking the question.

Just an FYI -- Jesus instituted the communion with Judas partaking.  Satan had already entered Judas by that time.

Interesting thought...but in reading the Gospels it seems that though Judas was there for the celebration of Passover, he was absent from the sharing of the Lord's Supper... What think ye?

That's not what it says in Luke.

14 When the hour had come, He sat down, and the twelve apostles with Him. 15 Then He said to them,

FWIW I do not believe in an exclusionary Lord's supper.  It is enough to say the things the Lord said about what it is we're doing.  There's no need to add to it by saying things like, "This is only for believers."  Let the Holy Spirit decide who to move to partake and who to move to abstain.

I'm fully aware of who Jesus did and didn't eat with.  Dan Cathy isn't telling ANYBODY to not eat with lost people, and nobody on this thread has either, so stop erecting strawmen.

The point is still being missed.  People used CFA to draw a line in the sand between people groups.  Just as the Pharisees did when Jesus walked the earth.  People who are like me will stand on this side and those who are different will be on the other.  It's divisive and that isn't what we see when we look at the life of Christ.

It doesn't really matter.  Yesterday is over and CFA will become as insignificant as Tinky Winky has since Christians were up in arms about Teletubbies.  But it never hurts to consider how our actions look to other people.  I can assure you that flocking to CFA (pun intended  :) ) and shaking chicken sandwiches didn't turn anyones heart towards God.

The point is being missed.....by people who would agree with you.....with all due respect.

Dan Cathy has always believed what he believes and CFA is partially based on his Christian beliefs, always has been. He has never made his beliefs a secret....even as to why CFA is closed on Sundays.

The pro gay liberals made that the issue.....CFA is banned in Boston.....CFA doesn't possess Chicago values.....PLEASE!

Chick fil A welcomes and has always welcomed people of all stripes and persuasions into their restaurants....the banning and criticizing wasn't done by CFA...but by the sanctimonious, intolerant bigots proclaiming their  tolerance.......and that's a fact!

Chick fil a will continue to be what it has always been...a multi billion dollar business founded on Christian principles.....but my guess is their sales will remain increased long after this furor subsides!
Hmm..underline the next line and then keep it is 2 john...either way you are making a distinction without a difference...

No...there is a great difference in those who call themselves Christian but live in unrepentant sin and those who don't self-identify as Christians. Paul treats the two groups very differently. (See also Jesus and His response to the religious elites vs the unwashed masses.)
...the table can be used to divide.

Your original argument wasn't that it can be used to divide (as it surely can), but that Scripture commands us to divide in this area.

The verse in 2 John answers you last point...not my problem if you refuse to see it.

Judas was an outsider at the last supper.....Jesus told him to do the deed quickly and he went out into the night.....but r2d2 is merely deflecting!

Leave it to the Pharisees to put higher standards on their followers than the standards Jesus followed....

When Jesus was confronted with a difficult decision, he should have asked himself, "What would a Baptist do?"

You probably never noticed the word "especially" in Gal 6:10.

Gal 6:10  As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

I agree. In fact, it's one of my "non-negotiables" when choosing a church or denomination.

It was nice to actually get INTO our newly opened CFA today and enjoy some of their fine chicken.  With it opening right in the middle of the "gay" brouhaha, it's been a test of patience and stamina to last long enough in the lines to order a sandwich!

No parking in the CFA lot, according to my wife.  People were parking in the Lowes parking lot behind the CFA and walking over to eat.

LOL. She wasn't by chance in Orland Park IL was she? That's how it's set up there. When my wife and I went for lunch, CFA's lot was packed so we had to park in Lowes lot and walk over. When we saw how long the line was we decided to leave since my wife had to be at work in about 90 minutes time, and we didn't feel like she'd have enough time to wait, eat and then get to work on time.

Well, my wife and I finally made it to Chick-Fil-A after church Saturday evening to try them out/support them. Wasn't nowhere near as busy as when we tried on the 1st, but then again we knew it wouldn't be.

The young lady at the counter was extremely polite, almost to the point of being sickening. Didn't take too long to get our food, which was, in my opinion, average at best. I could take a frozen Tyson chicken pattie out of my freezer and pretty much have the same quality sandwich, for about 1/3 of the price paid at CFA.

While I appreciate the CEO's stance on traditional marriage and support his right to free speech, I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there on a regular (or even semi-regular) basis.

I've only eaten there a few times, and I was always disappointed except for the most recent time.  Maybe that's because I always ordered the chicken pieces before.  The last time I ate there I had the chicken sandwich and it was excellent, and I liked the waffle fries, too.

But nothing beats plain old steamed chicken in China.  I think the difference is that they allow the chickens to be fully grown in China.  That's just my guess, though.  The meat tastes like Chicken used to taste when I was a little kid (back in the age of the dinosaurs when chickens were chickens and men were scared).  It had a strong, delicious chicken flavor in China.  The reason you can say everything tastes like chicken in the USA is because chicken here has no real flavor anymore.

No matter your taste for chicken, no matter your stance on CFA's stance.....everyone has to admit you need a rooster and a hen to reproduce chickens!  :)

Very true... for now. I could see a future agribusiness deciding to try cloning them. I'm not saying it's a good idea; just that it's the sort of thing they might do.

Cloning, maybe, except it seems like that would be more work than it would be worth.  One thing I know they won't try -- making more chickens through same-sex unions.
