Which preachers do you admire?

I know I will have to come back and add some more, but:

Best Delivery:
B R Lakin
C.H Spuregon
Dr. Mau
Holland London
John Rawlings

Most humble/selfless
Jerry Falwell
Rick Warren
Billy Kelly
Dr. Affman (TTU)

Easy to listen to:
Dr. Bob Stone
Phil Schuller
Dr. Stanley

Others:
Gordon Luff
Harold Carey
Howard Wynn

Will try more tomorrow, gotta go to bed. I would be easier if we could list those that we have no regard for at all.  :)

The only two that come to mind at the moment are Francis Chan and N.T. Wright. I may add more later.

Another one I thought of: Scot McKnight

He's a theology prof, not a pastor. But I heard him as guest speaker at a Vineyard church I visited. For a theologian, he can definitely preach! That Sunday he was both inspired and inspiring.

That got me interested in reading his blog and his books. I haven't gotten too far into it, but it's all good stuff so far.

Small world.  I knew these two when they worked together in Raleigh before Howard went to the Philippines.

I thought Howard Wynn was one of our missionaries we support........

Agree with BR Lakins, Jerry Falwell and Dr. Charles Stanley.

I know that you did. Howard is still in the Philippines, Rev. Carey passed away about 6 months ago. They both knew your dad as well.

He may be, he is in the Philippines.  He is a genuinely hard working missionary, has a great work there.  (Is also a hard-core Calvinist I might add, for those low-information Christians who do not believe Calvinists are missions minded).

You should agree with all of them. :).

Double-minded, if they're 'missions minded'.

Yes, we do support him and his son in the Phillipines. He is LouEllen's brother-in-law.

kaba, Thank you for having my back.............I couldn't remember who he was related toooooooo :)

Probably unlike the majority here, I do kinda like Rob Bell. I don't agree with him on everything, but I think at least the majority of his NOOMA video series are excellent.

Another one I like but have some disagreement with: Joseph Prince, the megachurch pastor from Singapore. Technically, he's WoF, and I do have a problem with that... but usually I can watch him without it being an issue because he doesn't emphasize it much, but prefers to teach on his favorite theme, Grace. And he's really cute.  :-*

I haven't seen his NOOMA videos but the books I have read were pretty good.

LOL!!!!  The list they would make is a lot longer.  Besides, I am not sure they can legitimately be called pastors/preachers.  The water hole they swim in is very small and the water is extremely dirty.

But I like the way you think. :)

Good people, your money and prayers are well invested.
