The 3 deaths were early in the vax program and was reported in the NYT in October 76. It hadn't yet been determined that what was going around wasn't the flu. Nine states halted the program. The feds didn't pull the vaccine till the following December. We can go off of Ekklesian's opinion are the facts that were gathered by the guy who investigated the incident back in the 70's.
How much did the coincidental deaths that you mentioned affect public perception of the immunization campaign and uptake of the vaccine?
Well, really what affected it more was the absence of disease! Nobody was getting the swine flu, so what, people felt, was the point?
Why was the program discontinued?
People were getting a little antsy—should we really be doing this? And then there was the identification of the rare side effect, Guillain-Barré Syndrome [in some vaccine recipients]—this is an ascending paralysis that occasionally occurs after viral infection and has not been associated with any other influenza vaccine [nor has it been found to be associated with the COVID-19 vaccines]. But it does appear, from the best assessments, that this was a rare side effect, maybe one in a million. And that occurrence was enough. That, along with the fact that there was no disease, led to the formal abandonment of the program. That was in December.
Then, what happened, as you know, there was a change in presidency—Jimmy Carter was inaugurated in 1977. There was an outbreak of influenza in a nursing home in Florida, not the swine flu, but A/Victoria influenza, the other flu that had been circulating. And the question came up: Should we start using this vaccine we have, to protect against A/Victoria? Because all the vaccines that had been produced that year were combination vaccines, meant to protect against both swine type and A/Victoria.
Did they end up using those doses for the other flu?
Yes, they did. [Editor’s note: And for A/Victoria influenza, at least, the combined vaccine seems to have worked.]
Hmm...You put me in tough spot. Can't figure out if I should believe the guy hired to investigate the facts and given the access and resources to do so a fem months after the fact or the guy on the internet speculating about it 40+ years after the fact. The 3 deaths were early in the vax program and was reported in the NYT in October 76. I know you want so badly to say that the thousands of deaths reported now wouldn't have halted the program in 76, and that the practitioners saying today that a miniscule fraction of that reporting would have been enought to pull any vaccine don't know as much as you, but that evidently isn't the case.
Just believe the facts. I already posted the NYT article. I'll do it again. No talk of GBS, just three suspect deaths two weeks after the national vaccination program began.Hmm...You put me in tough spot. Careful. This one doesn't appear to be that far-fetched.
I've had my concerns about the FFF admins.Careful. This one doesn't appear to be that far-fetched.
You are simply one of millions and millions who follow Don Boy, Lew and who can forget the Baptist doughboy Saluder mcGruder? Your combined credibility is impeccable! My loyalties are with Don Boys. Get with it! (excuse me while I inject some asperin)
He's got the middle one right.David Icke, of lizard conspiracy fame, says the whole virus shebang is a hoax, and he says don't socially distance, don't wear a mask and don't get the vaccine. If you regard David Icke as a reliable source of information, then I suppose that settles the matter. [I am not necessarily endorsing the viewpoints of the web sites that debunk Icke. I don't have the answers, but those who think they do may want to "consider the source" - all of their sources].

So you are still stuck with the fact that 41 states did not pause their swine flu vaccination program. It was not a CDC or federal decision but rather a small number of states that chose to pause. I think I've seen something similar to this. There was a vaccine made by a company whose name starts and ends in "J". In March when there were a handful of instances of blood clots in a particular demographic the state of Colorado paused using that vaccine. The Feds paused soon after. They took information that came through VAERS and investigated. Then when determined to be a rare event continued while adding a warning on the label for particular demographic. Sounds like it worked like it was supposed to. I would have thought that this cabal who is capable of such complex conspiracies as Lew and company detail could have done a better job of hiding a handful of blood clots.Just believe the facts. SWINE FLU PROGRAM IS HALTED IN 9 STATES AS 3 DIE AFTER SHOTS (Published 1976)
Swine flu vaccination programs in 9 states and in Pittsburgh and suburbs are suspended after deaths of 3 elderly persons who recd vaccine at Pittsburgh clinic; Fed and Pa health officials say there is no evidence that deaths resulted from vaccinations; all 3 patients were known to have had heart...www.nytimes.com
LOL. You're really trying to salvage your argument, but you can't. The thousands of deaths reported for the covid vaccines are marginalized when a very few number of adverse reactions would have been show-stoppers previously. Even during a panic. That's the point. So you are still stuck with the fact that 41 states did not pause their swine flu vaccination program. Your supposed universal standard of 3 deaths has many currently used vaccines in violation. The very state where the deaths occurred did not pause, only the city.
From the NYT article you provided:
"While Pittsburgh and its suburbs in Allegheny County suspended their vaccination program, Dr. Leonard Bachman, the Pennsylvania Health Secretary, said at a news conference in Harrisburg that the vaccination effort would continue in the state generally."
Perhaps telling a lie often enough turns into a fact in the Land of Make Believe, but in the real world it does not. I'll show you once again deaths reported in VAERS for some common vaccines. You will notice they are all far greater than 3 and yet the vaccines are still available. I'm not even including the medications with tens of thousands of deaths reported in the adverse event reporting systems that are still available and widely used.LOL. # of deaths reported in VAERS from one particular flu vaccine: 168
# of deaths reported in VAERS from Chicken Pox vaccine: 71
# of deaths reported in VAERS from Human Papilloma Vaccine: 167

It was through Sept 10th. Of course the reason why you can't answer why there are vaccines with well beyond three deaths still actively used, is because there is no universal standard like there is in your Land of Make Believe. You have been misusing VAERS in trying to twist the data into confirmed deaths caused by the vaccine in the same way I've been twisting the data on aspirin and the three vaccines to claim the deaths reported were confirmed deaths caused by the medication or vaccine. The truth is VAERS is a lot of noise without context. For instance around 2,200 people a day have a heart attack. If you mass vaccinate a large portion of the nation in a short period of time a lot of those heart attacks will occur within a few weeks of the vaccination. Unlike other vaccines doctors are required to report adverse events with the COVID vaccine. So an individual or doctor does not know if the heart attack was related so they report it. The CDC then can compare demographics and statistical occurrences in the general population to occurrences in the vaccinated. In other words they can filter out the noise and see the side effects that may truly be caused by the vaccine. What did you do bogs? Download the database?
