Scott Gray Candidating?

Someone told me Scott Gray was candidating at a church.  Anyone else heard about this?

He has been voted in as pastor of Liberty Baptist, Durham, NC

During the past few years we have all watched Schaap get goofier and goofier in his preaching.  We have wondered why staff men, like Scott Gray, continued to stay around.  Now a new preacher is in place and he leaves.  Interesting.

good observation - I would say it also describes many at FBCH as well as IFB in general

Just last week I talked to an older long-time deacon. He absolutely loves pastor Wilkerson but for the life of him he cannot figure out why he would want to come here to fbch. FWIW!!!!

Personally, I think you are going to see a few more than this leaving hacadoodle and fbch in the next couple of months once school is over.

Bob Marshall had announced that he was moving to Louisiana after his son finished his senior year in May. Now he has decided to stay. I am not sure if he is staying on staff or not. I hear some other rumblings about a few others but I kind of think they wanted to see how things would pan out and some are thinking now is as good a time as ever.

Ken Schaap has been sending out resume's and I really don't blame him at all. If Cindy puts up her house for sale and moves then I am sure Todd and Jaclynn will leave also, and again, I don't blame them.

Dave Douglas had announced that he was going to pastor out east and now he has decided to stay. I'm not sure if he is still on staff or not. He was then he wasn't and even a lot of other staff are not really sure.

I would not be surprised to see Chris Teft go out and pastor. There have been rumblings about him leaving for a couple of years now.

There are a few of the lesser known names who I have heard rumors about and some of them will quietly leave and in about 2 years I will hear about it. But to answer your question, the end of the school year is a big thing that people wait for.

Shoot. Even 1 year ago alot of these guys thought Schaap was the biggest thing since peanut butter.
