pastor marty, if you would provide just one time where I was not accurate or honest, I will be happy to apologize to you. (Lots of fun with that one). 
You calling anyone's integrity into question is laughable at best. Kinda like dr. saaaap calling you a pervert.

He never had a time set aside to meet with the navy boys who rode the bus to FBC.

No and he probably didn't burp babies in the nursery either. He must have made some kind of impression on some of those sailors who came back after being discharged to either attend HAC or become members of FBC.

I never said he was perfect or didn't have an ego (EVERYONE in ministry has a degree of ego btw). But you made a broad brush accusation without any substantiation. I simply called you on it.

There is no doubt that Jack Hyles was a charismatic pastor, a great pulpiteer, but a lousy Bible teacher.  There is no doubt by him traveling to all those churches in preaching in all those churches that he pulled and brought them to First Baptist Church.

It is a fact that Hyles ran FBC. All you had to do was to ask a church member or a staff member question and they would respond while my preacher says this, or my pastor believe this, never this is what the Bible says.

It is a fact that Cindy married someone like her dad.

It is a fact David didn't turn out right.

It is a fact that Linda was ostracized.

It is a fact that Jack Hyles was worshiped and promoted other man worship.

It is a fact that Hyles promoted and taught a works based sanctification.

Now if I want to give Linda some leeway, because of the hell she had to live in her home, I will.  I plan on reading her book and see what she has to say and not writing her off as all the loyal Hyles followers are doing.

Linda is opportunistic and just working on her marketing strategy. Her open letter to the region is to get the rest of the old FBCH/HAC dropouts up here to add her book to their wish lists.

Yes, but Mrs. Hyles spoke well of him at his funeral and still speaks at IFB meetings.  LOL!!!!!!!

I never met Linda and wouldn't know her if she was standing next to me.  But I did meet dr. hyles and listened to him screech many times, and I know about some of his lies first hand.  I know who I believe, regardless of how many times Mrs. Hyles refuses to tell the truth about him.  (Only a complete moron would expect her too.  I would actually think less of her if she did at this point in her life. Not that she cares what I think).

Anyhow if it's true she got out at 27, then she's light years ahead of the other hackers. Many whom the cycle of abuse continued.

Good for her!! That in itself gives her a TON of credibility. And it's probably terribly intimidating to those still enmeshed with the place

Considering who raised her and the abuse she endured (Fact), it's wonderful she is on the right side of the tracks. She's not to shabby lookin either

redeemed, Ditto!! I'm going by my own experience being in some classes with her. I also saw her out shopping with her dad and they were laughing and having a ball. These are my opinions that I observed many years ago.....and after many years come forward with the stories....

Right after my Dad got out of San Quinton, we went shopping and had a ball too. Probably one of the only fond memories I have.

Considering the level of depravity, her brain probably split. Meaning she can't recall things necessarily as they occured. Remember who her Dad was. She seems to be doing wonderful despite it all. JMHO.

On a sidenote, are you going to buy medical insurance for all your employees when Obama care comes into effect? I think you said you had over 50 right? that's the cutoff.

I just found out I could be penalized. One of my employees supposidly turned me in.

If what Linda says is true I hope she finds help and peace with her skeletons.....I never looked at Bro Hyles as God and I was never given a 100% button. I have no doubt that Wherewereyou could write his own book ...........he has no reason to tell a big story.He lived through the mess.............and has a good spirit after all these years!!

They want to hear what someone with integrity and a willingness to confront the monster has to say.

Seems like The Hate Hyles Kool-Aide drinkers want to believe whatever Linda has to say as the gospel truth. Maybe it is. Maybe it isn't. The point is simple... why is she automatically given "credibility" and "integrity" without any varification or scrutiny?

Confront the monster? You mean talking about a dead man who cannot defend himself and a prison convict? Who exactly has she confronted?

To date Mrs Jack Hyles still maintains a public persona that her husband was an upstanding Christian and he was lied about. Will Linda confront Mommy?

After the Sumner article broke ... Dr Hyles took a Sunday night to address the accusations. I remember MRS HYLES leaping to her feet -more than once- in applause when Dr Hyles came out swinging that night.

Soooo, IF Linda is right then who will deal with Mrs Hyles .... BUT if Mrs Hyles is right then why should we give credibility to Linda?

Many years ago ...15 or more... I heard two known IFB inner circle evangelists state without hesitation that Linda's personal life and "exploits" still made Dave look like a choir boy. It was in response to a question about where was Linda.

Seriously, it's classic Stockholm Syndrome or Battered Wife syndrome.  To this day my mom will tell anybody who listens that my father never touched me!  And when she does have to acknowledge it, she says it's because I was always hugging my father - I WAS TWELVE. 

But she blew her cover recently in front of my whole family.  See, I was also abused by my uncle and my entire (older) family has known of it since I was eight.  In the family conversation, my mother mentioned how much she loved her brother, my abuser, and I raised my eyebrows.  She saw my face and said, "What? What did he ever do to you? He's a good man!"

So many broken people.....

Agreed about the Stockholm Syndrome yet... imho, what Cindy Schapp did was pure evil. She STILL supports him,even  thru the barrier of iron bars. Recently bragging about how good their marriage is.
She placed herself as a role model to minors, put herself on a pedastal. A godly woman, or one with any conscious, takes responsibility to apologize to the victim for her role in supporting the Monster who violated her. Schaaps been screaming during sermons, in agony over the skeletons he harbored. No one cared to listen. No one called the Cops either. It wouldn't surprise me if he's violated one or both of his children. Hopefully God will be glorified in the end.
