Did you attend HAC?

I'm really LOL!

No, but the academic level has been discussed many times on here.

I do know many ppl that have graduated from there that have filled me in as well.

My dad went there and we have discussed the academic level many times.

Like I said, I'm not trying to be mean but I do find it humorous.

Many of us have discussed the academic level on many threads.  Because all of your information is second hand you don't have a full grip on the topic.  HAC had some teachers who did a terrible job of covering their material.  HAC also had teachers who did a great job covering their material.

Too many people that did not attend HAC have allowed their total perception to come from places like the FFF.  While many negative things you read are spot on, others are not.  Because those to whom you have spoken have negative comments you have built HAC as a total joke that could produce nothing good.

As I have mentioned before, there are 1000s of pastors, missionaries, and full time Christian servants that graduated from HAC.  I'm sure many of these would credit what they learned at HAC/FBCH as a great help to them.

Yes, HAC/FBCH have had some major problems, but for someone who never attended to act as if everything taught was nothing, I take issue.

It's guys like this that doggedly defend the HAC forum thoughts, posts, and extra-forum standards that are deserving of their own honorary doctorate.

One sign of a true HACker is that somehow comments/opinions of an outsider should be put aside or ignored even if they are sincere, truthful, informative, and thought provoking. HACkers apparently have and always will have the answers.

As a graduate, I must say that I enjoy reading and occasionally commenting on the many different perspectives given here. I don't understand why one would think that this should be some sort of exclusive club for those who only attended HAC or FBC.

Outsider's opinions are welcome, but when an outsider decides to act like everyone that attended HAC is an idiot, I have issues.

We started this topic on another thread, but a couple of us feel it deserves its own thread.  Let's name some HAC Honorary Doctorate recipients.  Let's discuss whether or not they were "deserved" in the true definition of an Honorary Doctorate.

*As always, one name per post.

I don't think everyone that attended HAC is an idiot. My dad attended HAC and he is not an idiot there are 2 ppl on here that I know that attended HAC and they are not idiots. But all these men are brutally honest about the academic level that is taught there as well.

I heard a long times ago HAC-grad Pastor Jerry Wilson from NY was awarded an honorary doctorate from HAC, although I don't know what year it happened.

Honor as in pay or honorarium I'm in agreement with if a church can afford it.

But I do not see the idea in Scripture of Christian colleges giving honorary Doc degrees out to pastors that have their pastor in for preaching meetings or for grads who do this or that after just a few years.

I have been to other Christian college graduation ceremonies where they bestowed Honorary Doc degrees upon older longstanding faithful servant in ministry & I have no problem with that.

This thread is not to discuss whether or not a college should give out Honorary Doctorates.  We are coming from the viewpoint that it is going to be done both by Christian and secular colleges.

This thread is to look back at those who have received an Honorary Doctorate from HAC to see if they meet the criteria.  Take a look back at those that have been listed and point out the ones that you do not think are legit.

According to HAC standards if they have "BUILT" a "BIG" ministry, they are 2 legit to quit.  Kinda like building a business, if its a well oiled machine and "BIG" you get an honorary doctorate.

Ok, you have your criteria.  Now look at the names that have been posted of those who have received an Honorary Doctorate from HAC and see if they meet that criteria.  Make comments on the ones that you know.

At this point I'm just picking on you Radiar.

No problem!  There have been many people listed who have received Honorary Doctorates from HAC.  There have been very few comments on why or why not the individual should or should not have received the "award'.  This is the chance for everyone to give their opinion on the actual recipients.
