The day that I received Christ, Mike Ray had preached for us at Metro Baptist Temple in Belleville, MI.
He was on his way to NY, to help Tim Young start a church there.
I have no idea what he preached on, but Tim Young preached our opening day chapel sermon, for the '94 school year.
He was "called into missions", and was headed to Germany.
A few years later, God changed His mind , I guess, and he was called back to the church in NY.

I remember wondering, the whole sermon, why he thought God was sending him to Germany ....

Good times

This is a thread for old chapel messages, not current infomercials.

I don't know if it's the same Ray Young sermon or not, but it was about the people that died the three days Jonah was running from God.

I remember that one.

Tom William's testimony sermon was probably the most memorable.

The first chapel sermon that I heard as a freshman.
Dr. Hyles - "Stay in Crete"

Well, sure, because the only thing worse than being in Crete is to leave Crete, since then one becomes an ex-Cretian.  :o

"A King who dies on a cross must be the king of a rather strange Kingdom"  Dietrich Bonhoffer

Not a hac chapel sermon for sure!
