I thought it might be interesting to have a post dedicated to FBCH/HAC staff members that are no longer a part of the IFB movement.  Who would be on that list?

*As always, one name per post.  Remember, it's all about the numbers, baby!!

The "fundamental" part of IFB means very different things to different people.

Do you mean fundamental by HAC standards.

Can you better define what you are looking for in terms of IFB?

Doctrinal positions
Music preferences
Bible version
Dress standards
Ecclesiastical seperation
bus ministry
Hair length

Good question.  Let's go with fundamental by HAC standards.  Let your list be our guide (KJV, soul winning, conservative music, HAC standards, etc)

JS..............the jack-wagon who preached the HAC standards but who made a mockery of it all while the leader of it all.

Another possible thread might be:
FBCH/HAC staff members who are no longer there & went further to the right (direction) because they thought that FBCH/HAC was too far to the left in their standards.

It would be the same answers as this thread.  :)

Oh, I see where you are heading.  When you used the word "right" direction I thought you were meaning the "correct" direction.  You were meaning even more strict.  Sorry!  :)

Was he a staff member?

Yes.

Exhibit A!!!

His wife stayed at my house once when she was part of some HAC tour group.  The folks in our small town (country-style) church weren't all that impressed with her right fancy (and extremely high pitched) rendition of our national anthem.

We visited their church while on vacation in the last couple of years. She sang great actually. Not all that opera stuff. I think that's what HAC allowed her to do. Certainly not the more contemporary fair that's part of their church now. By the way, we really enjoyed our visit wth them.

Heaven forbid they should ever have to be exposed to the slightest bit of culture, or have the experience of hearing a singer who actually trained the instrument God gave her.

Yeah, Rocco Dapice is the most obvious one I think. He's very activel on social media and most of the people I went to college with follow him. (either to criticize his "non-Baptist" teachings or to applaud his doing things the right way.)

He was a very well-liked staff member while at HAC.

Would First Baptist Dallas be considered IFB, "Independent" & "Fundamental"?

No, not for the purpose of this thread.  We are looking for staff members who no longer attend an IFB church of the same stripe as FBCH.
