We are trying to get Teri to join this FFF but she refuses until she knows who owns it.

I do. There is no more secrecy. The previous owner handed it off to me and I am easily identified.

If you wouldn't mind, please PM me your identity.

Please no friend requests unless we have met in person.

Wasn't wanting to be FB friends.  Just wanted to know your name (as owner of the FFF) so I can share it with Teri in NC.
It was a generic statement, not singling you out.

I knew who BaptistCityHoldout was while we were in school, but I did not really know him too well, although he and I both worked in Sunbeams.  (At least I think he's the one who did.)  We were FB friends, but I've not seen posts from him in a while, so I wonder if he unfriended me????

I have taken a lull in  much FB posting, but I wonder how that thing goes on FB where you don't see posts from someone for a period of time. I see yours, patriotic! Yes, we were in Sunbeams together. as workers, at least most of the time!

This is the first step to repentance, you stinkin' (I love that word) deadbeat!!

I remember when a good Fundamentalist was a-gin' things.  Things like blocked hair cuts, women without nylons and ball point pens.  Now look at us.  IFB college presidents have those blocked hair cuts and some wimin' - perish the thought - are not wearin' no nylons!  Pastors are using ball point pens!  We have lost our FIGHT in fundamentalism and I blame this here thread.  All of this ego strokin' and friend makin' - It's SHAMEFUL!  We need some FIGHT in the FFF!

I'LL TAKE THE OLD PATHS!

I have mentioned a couple of times that my wife and I became reacquainted on the forum in January of 2001 and married in December 2013.

There was a poster on the old forum named Ebeneezer. We had known each other at HAC and worked in the bus ministry together.  We did not particularly get along then and did not agree on much on the forum.  I did admire the man.  In college he knew he was there to get his degree and did what he thought was right in spite of the pressure. He served many years as an assistant pastor.  I gather he served faithfully and without fanfare.  He moved to Mississippi (near Memphis).  He had mentioned where he worked and I stopped in to see him when I was in Memphis. We were polite. I don't think we would ever be friends but I do admire his sincerity and faithfulness.

Wow, whatever happened to Eb?  Talk about blast from the past!

Eb is the husband of my bus calling partner...Barbara I've send her facebook friend requests and I haven't heard from her. We had so much fun visiting our route.

For those of us who never lived in the "system" what is a blocked hair cut?  ???

It is questions like this that make me shake my head at my upbringing.  "How can someone not know this?"  I begin to wonder.  Then, it hits me.  I grew up at FBCH.  Bubble world.

A blocked haircut is one that is short enough that the hair is not touching the collar or the ear.  However, at the bottom of the neck and around the ears, the clippers abruptly end the hairline, leaving the hair combable at the base.  This is the epitome of compromise.  A fellow who wears a blocked haircut is trying to have long hair while still being a fundamentalist.  He is a hippy at heart.  His rebellious heart is showing through his haircut's attempt to be like the world, while still being accepted by his fundamentalist leaders.  These compromisers must be dealt with severely before their rebellion against the system, and therefore God himself, influenced others.

Notice the picture below.  The left is blocked and the right is tapered.  The left is a rebel at heart while the right is godly.

Just for clarification here, the administration didn't even always know what a blocked haircut was. I was a married man in my 30's who was kicked out of the registration line by the reverend Sam Sprunger because I had a blocked haircut. Even though I had my hair cut the day before at Red's with 20 other hackers and I had been going there for most of my hac career. I told him that my hair was cut the day before, same cut as always, that time was very tight, money was tight, and that I wasn't getting another haircut. I didn't have time or patience with his nonsense. He wouldn't relent. I went to Dr. J who graciously told me to get back in line. Apparently he had had a LOT of complaints from other students about the same thing.

A kind of satisfaction came over me when he took old Sam aside for about ten minutes.

I can't believe Raider forgot me.  :(

And I have photographic evidence and all....

Patriotic.....she's a sweetheart and I am so proud to call her friend.

I don't use the word friend lightly.

I still have her number in my phone.

I reconnected with Greg Doane on the old FFF before he passed.
