I like to use them when I'm not likely to spend a lot of time with the person. Most tracts are very light on info. This tract give a lot more bible and explains things much better than the average tract.I have talked to several dozen people in my lifetime who were saved with this tract,Matthew1323 said:sword said:how "aboat" on a cruise ship when the scheduled preacher got sick.
Glad it was not the ships doctor who got sick or we would have been in trouble.
I preached a generic sermon fit for any non denominational church in America and closed with a good clear gospel plan of salvation and a pink "Gods simple plan of salvation" tract for each on the way out.
One couple did see me and ask for more info about "salvation" They were clearly saved but needed some help with assurance. The had very clear testimonies of salvation as kids but very little spiritual growth. we talked for 45 mins. or so.
I liked that Ford Porter tract that you passed out. I used those before attending HAC.
Many churches used it for many years until they realized that they could instead make a combo tract. Now some simply pass out advertising brochures complete with a picture of their pastor or church. Many of the ones that I've seen recently are now simply gospel-lite. They seem much more interested in someone coming to their church than receiving the more important life saving message.

I was then taken to an apartment on the school grounds. I was given a schedule & the location of the chapel. The pastor's house was across the parking lot. The only time I saw the pastor again was when the cops arrested his son for DUI in front of the house after a blue lights chase.
I somehow found out that not one graduate of the school had ever gone to a Christian college. But that most of the grads had gone to state universities. The majority of the students were bilingual & from Cuban families.
Monday through Friday the chapel services got better & better as far as the way the student responded to the preaching. We had 7 respond wanting to get saved during one service. On Friday I preached a message challenging the students to use what most of them already had the ability to do............use their bilingual skills to reach the Spanish speaking world with the gospel. I gave an invitation for full-time Christian service, emphasising this would be after going to a Christian college. There were 45 students who responded.
Three years later.......... I was at a church in Atlanta & a guy walked up & said, "You look just like fishinnut." He told me that he was the former youth pastor of the Miami church. He had quietly sat of the back row & attended the chapel services I had held (Tuesday-Friday). He said that week changed that school because of those 45 kids determining that full-time ministry after Christian college was their goal. He had helped most of them find a Christian college & that all of those who had already graduated were attending ministry schools with the mission field training.
