Lay down your will for the good of the Body
Opinions which divide
Personal agendas
Personality conflicts
Respect authority
Be supportive of your leader
Be submissive to his/her decisions
Don’t be a distraction; presentation is paramount
On the first item, in practice it meant "Don't have any doctrinal differences with the leadership...and if you do, you better shut up." It was easily followed by, "if you have any questions about either doctrine from the leadership or church practice, see point #2."
On the third item, that is one of the most Christ-less, world driven pieces of drivel that I've ever read.
I'm guessing that your resume' of "churches I previously attended" is quite large.
But I'm sure they don't pass out the "100% for Pastor"buttons.
Would you mean like my 100% Hyles button I received while a member of FBC?
