What I saw in church this week..............

Here's your update.

Sunday AM January 7, 2018.
Remember increases in offering amounts do not necessarily indicate God's blessings. IMHO it is more related to the general condition of the economy. In 2008 when the last president was elected and the economy went south so did our offerings and attendance. Trump gets the credit for the overall optimism spurring the economic rebound we are now experiencing.

Today at the church I attend during the service our church hosted Coach Bobby Bowden where he presented the BOBBY BOWDEN AWARD to Oklahoma State?s Mason Rudolph.

Bobby Bowden Award, presented annually in conjunction with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes to the Division I football player who "epitomizes a student-athlete as he represents God, his family, his institution and his community."

BGW, where have you been?

Sunday AM, January 14, 2018.

Looks like the Trump economy is still working for us. Some would say it was God's blessing.

Since I retired I now work 50 to 60 hours a week so I don't have much time for FFF.
I'll still do the updates.

An announcement for a 2nd service time starting at the end of the month at our new church plant, where we are using a public school.

Noticed a guitar player wearing shades.....LOL.

I saw women wearing hose. Yes, I visited an IFB church!!

If you are retired and working 50 - 60 hours a week you need the FFF more than you ever have!

You know what Bro. Hyles said about people when they retire!

We are witnessing it before our very eyes.

I'm curious. What's the purpose of the trust fund? Not much in there.

P.s. How is Schaap doing?

Technology was used today to communicated & illustrated the gospel that I never imagined when I started preaching.

The amount shown is that which was taken in for the week of 1-21-18 and in no way represents a cumulative amount.
The trust fund is a legally set aside fund for the purpose of paying off the building debt alone. I am guessing it is around a half a million at this time. When we refinance it would be used to pay down the note.

See, pictures like this make me seriously doubt the claim that attendance has risen to surpass the Schaap era. I know it was a Sunday night and super bowl Sunday at that, but look at the sparse crowd. Did that happen on Super Bowl Sunday when Schaap was there (I don't know...I am really asking)?
