Y'all know that I am no longer attending an IFB church......anyway the following is what I noticed this morning.

Ushers dancing in the aisle....

Dancing?  Scriptural

Ushers?  Chapter and verse please

How many times does God have to tell us something before we do it?

Psa 149:3  Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.
Psa 150:4  Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.

My how selective some people are in how they obey God.

Church of Christ people take note.

Can you show me where they did this in the NT church?

fishinnut's church.  Today.

In that case we should also be handling snakes. :)

NOW---NOW extreme overreaction to my preference in church is unbecoming.

I've seen skinny jeans at my church be NEVER snakes.

Guess not. Little interrest.

Do they ever give actual attendance numbers?

Precisely.

We don't have the old "usher" thing going on at our new church plant. We mixed the new (online giving) with the old (basket in the back of the congregation) rather than the passing of plates, bags or whatever. So far in weeks 1-3, both means have been sustaining the needs.

And yes, the kids especially are encouraged to "dance" in the aisles/open spaces during worship.

We found out that our church over the last 4 weeks gave over $100,00.00 worth of H ome D epot gift cards to help Texas hurricane victims rebuild.

We only have shuttle buses.........because our parking lot at the church building cannot accommodate all the vehicles, so we have to use city high-rise parking decks and shuttled the others over to the building. BTW........we seldom hear about numbers..............through the grapevine I hear over 7000 per week attend & we are just over 7 years old.

I saw all my grown kids who live in the area, in church, active & serving in our local church.

The same is true of my other child & their family in another state.
