Well, it's Sunday again and here is what I saw in the church today August 6, 2017.

Hey, if you can get a photo of Mike and Becky Wolfe, I'd appreciate it.
Where do they normally sit? Do you see them in this far shot?
I have no idea.  No, I don't see them.  Just have an announcement made for them to meet you after service!
I'm sorry, but I am very busy while I am at church.
If you disagree with their direction, their past, their staff, their standards and their Bible, as strongly as you profess on this forum, why do you continue to attend there.

Do you think one day Wilkerson will step to the pulpit and denounce FBCH's past, throw out their standards, change the music, his staff and the Bible he preaches from. If you truly believe, as you do what purpose is there in staying.
Wilkerson has made clear to the supporting pastors of HAC, he is not changing the standards, methods, or what they believe. He strongly supports the KJV, soul winning, separation from the world, support of missions and much of what IFB churches have stood for over the past 50 years. He has given no indication he is even remotely Calvinistic, liberal or has any plans to read or study anything but the King James Bible in their ministries. The only think new I see he brings to FBCH is a deep humility that I see as refreshing and a much stronger emphasis on discipleship of converts new and old.

I haven't seen a Wed PM service in some 12 years.

So you prefer the Wed AM service?

Catholic Churches in our area tend to have services every day both AM and PM kinda puts us to shame.

I think there's a difference here; most IFBs I have been in preach that it is a sin to miss church services and try to get people to come to Sun PM and Wed services.

I don't believe that the Catholic church demands that everyone be there for every service, and so they have their daily Mass whether or not anyone is in attendance.

While I am glad that BGW is a poster on the FFF and that he keeps us up to date with things going on at FBCH, I agree with your post 100%.  I have asked this question of him numerous times and never get an answer.  Why would you want to continue to attend a church with which you disagree on so many levels?

I agree.... even a few years ago when John Wilkerson became pastor @ FBCH, he was posting positive things about the church....  sometimes, you can let grief color your output

How would you rate the attendance now versus Schaap's last year as pastor?

Typical rebuttal from an IFB to someone who is truly independent.

Stay strong BG.

Don't quit being independent.

It's actually comical to hear IFB loyalists complain when one demonstrates real independence.

I'm new here, so forgive my lack of understanding. Why has the balcony been closed off?

The balcony is closed during the summer months due to decreased attendance. It saves money in lighting, AC, and janitorial services to have it closed when everyone can easily fit on the ground floor.

Wow. I had no idea attendance had fallen to that level. I remember Jack Frasure lighting up famous churches for having to rope off sections. Bellevue Baptist, Highland Park Baptist, and Moody Church were familiar targets. Kinda ironic I suppose.

We had some comedy in PM service, didn't help attendance much.

What kind of crowd was there, BGW? I tried listening but could only handle a couple minutes of that. God bless you if you were able to handle more! Hopefully you had some earplugs!

Willis and BGW:

I am sure you don?t care for his preaching style and jokes, but what specifically did he say that was biblically incorrect? What points do you disagree with the most?

Using that criteria, Joel Osteen is doing pretty good.

I can't get past his style. Reminds me too much of Jack Frasure--that %^#%^^ son of a *+??> preacher!

Sunday, AM September 10, 2017. If I believed that larger offerings indicate God's Blessing I would say that God has blessed us this week. More money is not necessarily a blessing, for many, it is a curse.

Even HAC and HB are reported to be up to around 400 for Fall enrollment, which would be a real increase. We will see what happens.
