One of the greatest, though personally, I’d rank George Jones ahead of him, probably Randy Travis too.

Yes, sir. Several times. Also, George Jones, Dolly Parton, Steve Earle, John Mellencamp. etc. My dad's cousin was Bobby Helms who sang Frauline, Jingle Bell Rock, My Special Angel, etc. My baby brother is also a singer/songwriter. I used to sing years ago. I also knew Little Richard, and my father-in-law was a playmate of James Brown, and my mother-in-law used to take care of his step father in the Blue Goose VA hospital in Augusta, GA. Knowing famous people isn't hard to do.
