I love Irish, Scotch/Irish, and English music....Especially since I'm part Irish! :)_
 
the jets... made up of brothers and sisters of one family.... .. have been coming to hawaii for many years...
and some of the band members live here now.... people have mistaken them for latino.. black.. and even
middle eastern.... but they are none of the above.... . they are polynesian.... originally from tonga...

"Make It Real" was released in 1987! I remember it well.
 
One of the groups I loved when I was younger...I just heard this song a few minutes ago in the background of a movie I was watching! Reminded me of my drinking days....Barkeep....a scotch on the rocks, please!

my dad has that album and a few other guess who albums in his old record collection.... .:).
i never wanted to mess with the turn table that is almost as old as the records... so i use
write down what was on the back label and look them up on youtube...... that;s where
i found this one.........




nobody comes even close to this today..... much ahead of their time....

the kids show banana splits was inspired by the monkees.... i use to watch
reruns of both shows when i was little....
... watching it as a kid who spoke spanish only at the time it was still easy to
see the character drooper was inspired by mike nesmith.... even droopers
southern drawl was supposed to mimic nesmiths texas accent...... .and it was
also obvious that bingo was inspired by micky dolenz... ..and that fleagle was
davy jones.... but i never saw the physical connection between peter tork and
snorky.... but i knew it was him because they both played the keyboard..... . ....

i sometimes put long running videos like this up on the big screen tv and let them run... especially
if i;m involved in some task or something.... or up late at night like now...... but i know ambient
music and videos like this are not everyones cup of tea.... but for me they are sometimes my tea,
cream and coffee..... .....with buttered toast on the side... 😌....

I know I am a bit older than you, but I too watched Banana Splits growing up, and loved it!
 
Good grief...am I one of the oldest people here?
