I loved all their music back then, and then into the early 80s. When I was in the ministry I dropped all the secular music. Not being there any longer, I don't have a problem with listening to it with limits. Journey and REO Speedwagon were two of my favorite groups of the time. I have a couple of friends audition for REO when they were on the campuses of the university system in the State of Illinois. One was called back, but he got saved and didn't take the callback.Journey is my favorite band, and I love that song, but they're early stuff when they were more influenced by Santana is more edgy and suits my groove better than their latter stuff. Loving Touching Squeezing is probably the ultimate cheating song.
Ironically, REO was another band that rocked early on, but faded as the 80s carried them into middle age mellowness.I loved all their music back then, and then into the early 80s. I don't keep up with too much pop culture (music and TV included), though I am a news junkie, so I am familiar with Rowe (and his conservatism) but wasn't aware of this Christmas song until I saw FOX News interviewing him about the song. Anyhoo, here is a little clip by Rowe that is an ABSOLUTELY MUST HEAR...
I didn't know Mike Rowe could sing. He's pretty good. Come to find out that he's sung opera in the past. He's a man of many talents.

Gary Richrath is still one of my favorite guitarists. I have a few REO songs on my running playlist - 157 Riverside Avenue, Keep on Rolling, Riding the Storm out. When they got sappy - Keep on loving you- I was out.I loved all their music back then, and then into the early 80s. When I was in the ministry I dropped all the secular music.
