i think this is supposed to be a rainy night in a taipei taiwan highrise.... . but it
could be a rainy night in china town san-fran too.... .. the thing i like about this
is the rain sounds are more realistic for a high rise building.... .. this high up you
never hear the splatter of rain drops hitting the pavement many stories below. ..
just the sight and soft rush of the rain falling past your windows and balcony
on the way down..... plus the smell of rain in the air

We heard plenty of rain Monday night into to Tuesday morning at our cabin in Hochatown OK as that tropical storm made its way north out of Texas. 🌨️🌨️🌨️🌨️🌨️

We were planning to leave Joplin at the crack of dawn.

4am...

Ummm... 🤔 I don't think so.

Hourly forecast has this passing by around 7 am.

i hope the storm passed and you were able to get underway......

when going on motorcycle rides with my sister we have found ourselves in the middle of many heavy downpours. ... especially on the north shore.... . .... hardy ever thunder though as that;s rare in hawaii.... . but it;s still pretty scary just being in traffic in heavy rain and on the motorcycle.. .. my sister always heads for the closest place we can get off the road and into a grove of trees or forest... .. sometimes just a beach park is good enough.... .. the same thing happens when my friends and i are doing our round the island bike rides... . but in those cases the rain is like a pleasant cooling off after being hot and overheated from miles of pumping the bike pedals....

we generally have 2 monsoon type seasons every year... .. one is in late december and through january... .. didn;t happen this year..... .. and the other is usually in june into july..... that hasn;t happened either yet... .. and meteorolgist say it;s not going to...... so all we are getting is the nightly showers that pass through from the mountains.... and sometime last an hour or so into the morning........ not nearly as much rain as we need...... ....

I've ridden through my fair share of thunderstorms... Sky lighting up and thunder booming. Happened in Florida a couple weeks ago. I LOVE IT!!! Yes, Angela was with me. We outran the rain and got to our destination just before it caught up to us. I was laughing like a maniac the whole way.

I did get caught in a storm once where the hail was the size of a .45 caliber round. Those sting when they hit. All I could do was pull over, turn my back to the onslaught and wait it out. Once it passed, I got back on and rode off.

And yes, the storm passed as forecast. Delayed is a couple hours but we made good use of the time. 😴😴
