I'm not big on posting numbers of salvation but nor am I against it either as God posted numbers in both the NT and the OT. Some of you super sanctimonious saints would probably rebuke God for telling us how many got saved at Pentecost and how many people in Nineveh were spared because they repented.bgwilkinson said:Sherryh said:I never got it why would you make an announcement on how many souls were saved? It is the favorite promotion method of the modern neo-fundamentalist performance based Christianity.
It is pride on parade.

When you compare yourselves by yourselves among yourselves, you are not wise.Walt said:16KJV11 said:I'm not big on posting numbers of salvation but nor am I against it either as God posted numbers in both the NT and the OT. I think the point is that that numbers are fine when the Holy Spirit records them; as humans, we should be concerned with the glory of God, and not making ourselves look good.
Don't forget Rom. 13.Walt said:I don't believe what this guy said either - he seemed to be trying too hard to make his point.
However...
As Christians, we are exhorted to do whatever we do to the glory of God. It is very bad practice for church leaders to get up and exalt one another to the skies, and never mention God. It is God who deserves the glory and honor, not the pastor or staff member, even on special occasion.

Like I said in a previous post, he has a few (VERY few) good points to his video. His stupidity drowns out the good points.
