So guys what rule did you hate the most at HAC? What was your experience with this rule that got you to hate it?

This is where Raider needs to reinforce the one per post rule. After all there are so many wonderful choices...

Off the top of my head I would have to say the rule about signing in at the South Hallway Desk on the hour every hour for, what, four hours, when you were campused. And you had to be in a tie to boot. Not only couldn't you go anywhere, but you couldn't just relax in your room for the rest of the night. Nope. You had to get up and prove you were there... grrrr

Some of us obeyed the rules and we were never campussed, you stinkin' rebel!!

If you were ill and needed to see a nurse you would go to the infirmary.  If you needed an excuse to miss classes you had to stay in the infirmary for 24 hours.  After 24 hours in that place you would be instantly healed regardless of how you felt.

You had to have three girls plus an approved girl

Second year I was there, you could not wear jeans skirts

Getting out on Wednesday for Thanksgiving and having to stop for a church service on an already long drive home.

No sweats under your skirts while visiting in below zero weather

Lights out at whatever time it was.

45 stinkin' mph for the busses.

Never got campused you stinkin' rebel! :P

Since demerits are gone at HAC, they give you fines. I got fined $50 for leaving through an exit with no security guard even though tons of students were heading to work after curfew leaving through the same exit I left through

This is nuts. Gives new meaning to pay as you go. How much does the college charge to kiss your girlfriend? Seems like pimping pays better than demerits....

I could almost... almost understand this if it was enforced like it has in the past, but doors are often propped open, people seem to come and go as they please through the covered walkway door when it is unattended.

I am genuinely curious...

...why do people choose to go to college at a place where they treat you like you are six?

While some of the rules are crazy, there are others that seem crazy to those who weren't there.  Many people sent their daughters to HAC because they were protected.  I'm sure there were many rules that seemed silly to us that had this as its final goal.

I went there because I really believed I could learn about the ministry an how to start one. Turns out that I never needed to spend thousands of dollars to learn about the ministry. I could've just stayed at my home church and learn from my pastor for free. It's ok though I made a few friends (not a lot) and I got a "degree".

When Jack Hyles was there we definitely learned how to operate a church with the beliefs of FBCH.  With Schaap in charge did they not teach these things?

We did learn about the ministry with JS. My point is that I didn't need Bible college to do it. I could've saved all that money I spent there and just learn from my pastor at home for free.
