"Unfortunately, we live at a time when the world is becoming extremely unstable.  The great era of peace and prosperity that we have been enjoying is coming to an end.  The global financial system is going to experience a tremendous amount of chaos in the years ahead and that is something we will all need to prepare for."

I agree with the blogger's analysis. The only bright spot is this should make it even harder for Obama to be re-elected.

This article uses words like chaos, crisis, outrageous, and in your quote "extremely unstable."  However, the world, in my limited opinion, has always been unstable.  So, I don't think a global recession is the answer. I think that the return of Jesus is the only answer this global economy has for a permanent solution.  There are temporary fixes, but nothing that will last.

I pay about $35+ to get my tank full.  How much do people with SUV's pay is beyond me.  Wait till it hits $5 a gal.

All 3 of our vehicles cost about $60 each to fill.  None of us are long-distance commuters, but we average a total of 14 "fill-ups" per month.  Once basketball and ski season end, that should drop a couple of "filler-ups" for me.

Being one who hates to see gas prices rise and wishes that they would come down, let me say that high gas prices are not the end of the world. You adjust. Before we moved to England I was worried about paying the high gas prices here. Guess what, we do it. It costs me $125.00 to fill up my SUV with gas at $8.00/gal. Life seems to go on and people are reasonably happy here just as they are in the States. Europe has survived high gas prices, I am sure that America can as well.

People in MMA also get used to getting punched in the face.  I don't think we should get used to it, I think we should get angry and get some politicians who will drill and build new refineries while at the same time look for alternative fuels.

Everybody just relax. Obama has everything under control. :'(

I doubt it also. Even though most people don't seem to care for the republican nominees, they will get behind whoever wins just to get obama out of the oval orifice.

Sorry, little bit of el rushbo coming out. ;D

Remember when Obama is re-elected, you heard it here first...not that it gives me any pleasure to say so...and it has nothing to do with his Republican opponent, whoever that will be.

My dad believes he'll be re-elected just because he feels like our country deserves no better. In the sense that we brought this on ourselves, and this is God's way of putting us through some tough times. Sometimes I do get the impression that americans believe that we're above getting some persecution.

I would tend to agree with your dad...plus add in the factor of the high percentage that are receiving government money...watch Obama scare them to death with what he will say the republicans will take away.

If obama stays in office we better hold onto our guns (which he would love to take away) because if gas keeps on going up, and jobs to not become more readily available, there is going to be a major rise in thefts and looting. We have to protect our lives and property. It's already bad enough with dope heads cutting copper out of houses, but it could get much worse. :-\

Don't forget to clean your weapon DAILY!

I will do that. However, I will also continue to trust God to meet my needs regardless of how high gas prices might climb.

I'm so glad that Jesus thought lethal force was appropriate when it came to theft...

Oh wait...
