The Longest Thread in the History of the FFF....

Mom is a good cook! It was hard to cook for 8+ people every night when she did cook. After she went back to work, my sisters and I had to cook. It was hard to stomach some of my sisters (both of the ones who were older, but still younger than me) because they hadn't adequately learned everything they needed to know. Over the years they both became excellent cooks! My other younger sister on that side of the family can cook quite well, too.

Isn't the motive behind this FFF thread sorta like the disciples question which of them should be greatest?<tsk tsk>

As Cassius Clay once said, "I am the Greatest!" LOL

this morning the temperature reading
in honolulu was 62 degrees... but up here on the 39th floor where the wind has been
howling like an obake' denied revenge, it was 58.. 🥶 ..
and it;s only 69 now...
62 is the forecast high for Monday and I'm looking forward to it.

Right now, it's upper 40s and very damp from rain last night. The hills above town were dusted with snow this morning. The sun is barely breaking through a thick haze which is providing some warmth for working outside. Anything over 68 and I'm riding guns out. (Short sleeves.)🏍

Spring typically comes to this valley a month before the surrounding areas. So far, this year, spring seems to be taking its time getting here. As much as I want it, if it comes too fast, it's too short before summer heat sets in. I've seen spring spring in February around here but then May was dry and dusty.

Ummm....don't we have a thread for what we're listening to now? ;)

it got really cold here last night.... we had a very unusual but major cold front come
west across the pacific - that is bringing high winds and which is supposed to keep
temperatures down until early next week. 🌬️.. this morning the temperature reading
in honolulu was 62 degrees... but up here on the 39th floor where the wind has been
howling like an obake' denied revenge, it was 58.. 🥶 ..and it;s only 69 now...

** for those who may not know... an obake' is a japanese female apparition with black
wind blown hair - wearing a long white dress.... she also has no feet and floats above
the ground or sometimes above the water..... ..per legend the only people who ever see
an obake' are men who have been unfaithful to their wives... ..... some legends say the
man who sees one will die shortly afterwards unless he tells people about it and comes
clean concerning his betrayal.... ☠️

and before anyone laughs about what i consider a cold outside air temperature - just
remember i live on a tropical island in the middle of the pacific where it;s not supposed
to be this cold.... ... so most mainlanders might not be able to relate... ... but hey...at

least i;m contributing to the some day hopefully longest thread in fff history.... 🕰️
I've been running my A/C all this week!

Six inches of snow expected overnight tonight. We had five last Friday. It was gone by Sunday. I doubt that what we get tonight will be around long either.

Ten inches at 6am and still coming down. All the schools are closed accordingly.
