The Hacker Thread about Absolutely Nothing Particular!

After listening to a lot of the cute little devotionals and tweets of ifb preachers, I get the idea that GRACE is nothing more than a bitter pill that must be swallowed at the point of salvation. After that you are on your own, law kicks back in, and the only reason people mention grace is because they just don't want to live in a way that is pleasing to God. IMO

So, I am in church Sunday morning. I was a greeter this past week so I have to stay for all three services. I am in the lobby and start talking to this guy and he said he had been coming there for three years and would like to join but then they would start charging him. I asked him what he was talking about. He said you know the time, tie, tithe. How much will they hit me up for if I join?. Amazing the ideas people come up with!

Depending on the church you join, it could cost you a lot.

Drove by a park recently.  A sign said, "Free Prayer" and had an arrow pointing to a small group of people. I didn't see anyone stop to pray, but it sure caught my attention.

At Pastors' School in 1981, one of the services wasa at the Civic Center. Mrs. Rice was recognized. I remember she said something to the effect of, "It is wonderful to hearBro. Lakin preach, Ray Hart sing and Bro. Hyles give the announcements."

A church in town offers drive thru prayer. A few times I have been on a run and stop by for a run through prayer.

A church about a half mile down our street does this too.  They post several people at nearby intersections with poster board signs so sometimes - until I get close enought to read the posters -  I'm not sure if it's a car wash or bake sale or drive through prayer.

The church I mentioned has a license plate logo that reads, "RU 2BZ 2 Pray?"

There's always something for which to be thankful.......

It's just the way I was made, but I itch all over & all the time with very dry skin & never found a reason to be thankful of it.

For the last 2 weeks I have had poison-ivy which means itching X 100 or more. If I scratch it, it spreads............not fun to say the least.

When it's over, Lord please, I will be thankful it's over & thankful when I do itch that it's not poison-ivy.
