Yesterday morning I prayed, "Lord, I just wish someone would call and want a ride to church today!"  (Saturday it was my turn to watch the kiddos during visitation.)  Not even five minutes later the phone rang!  A lady wanted a ride to church along with her daughter who came to our VBS!  Ain't God good?!!!

The package was a new office chair! So comfy, I hope I don't fall asleep!

I have two NW Indiana grandsons who have never been to a football game. I am a college football fanatic and am thinking of taking them to the opening game where real college football is played. (Camp Randall) Can anyone float me a loan??? These tickets are expensive!

BALAAM, I've been to a few pro games, a Bears/Dolphins pre-season and a couple regular season Panther games. Headed to the Bears/Panthers game on Friday! Anyway, I also went to a Purdue/Michigan game and Appalachian State/Elon game. Though I prefer watching pro ball over college 10 games out of 10, I've got to tell you, the App State game was the most fun out of all of them and we paid I think it was $10 a ticket (two years ago). If you can get them to a Div. 3 rival game, you can probably find cheap tickets, have a blast and give the grandkids a memory for a lifetime!

Speaking of Richard Petty, my wife is a server (part-time) at Charlotte Motor Speedway. One time, she and co-workers were cleaning up after an event and Petty was in the hallway, peeked in the room and saw them cleaning up. He came in and introduced himself, shook hands and thanked them for their efforts and he had nothing to do with the event.
