An estimated six hundred men and women have been apprehended by the Federal Bureau of Investigations for protesting the stolen election on Capitol Hill on January 6. Many of them were released from jail and awaiting trial.
But most of the January 6 defendants are being denied due process, held without bail, have yet to be convicted of a crime and languish in solitary confinement on misdemeanor charges as they lose their livelihoods waiting month after month for a crooked judge and jury in Washington DC to begin to adjudicate their case.
Even supporters of Trump who never stepped foot in the Capitol building, like Proud Boys leaders, army veteran Joe Biggs and former GOP congressional candidate Enrique Tarrio, face sedition charges and 20-plus year prison sentences as prosecutors charge them with devising the “insurrection.”
Three of the January 6 defendants have killed themselves while subjected to inhumane living conditions in jail and shamed to death for participating in the protest the corporate media and establishment politicians compare to 9/11.
The Capitol Hill Police officers that murdered 36-year-old Air Force veteran Ashli Babbitt and 34-year-old Rosanne Boyland in cold blood on that fateful day have yet to be charged with a crime.
The homicidal cops have been awarded after killing Trump supporters in broad daylight.

I wouldn't want to be locked up for such nonsense! If I am to be imprisoned, let it be for the sake of the Gospel!

Choose your battles wisely because it may be the hill upon which you are about to die!

Mr. Trump isn't the hill I would be dying on...believe me.

I don't support cruel mistreatment of any prisoners in America, whether they be Trumpie insurrectionists, "mostly peaceful social justice protesters," common criminals or whatever. No prisoners should be held in inhumane and degrading conditions, or denied medical treatment.

Having said that, however, I would observe that in most nations of the world, people who take part in an assault on the nation's capitol, for purposes of overthrowing the government, should be realistic about the possibility of facing some adverse consequences and negative sanctions. They may get shot at, they may be put in prison, maybe put in front of a firing squad after trial, or without trial, etc. For this reason, I think that Baptist Renegade's advice, to choose our battles wisely, is good advice.

The insurrectionists were motivated by all the stories about the election being stolen, which were being spread by Fox News, but as it turns out, Fox News knew all the time that it was a lie but they kept saying it so they could get better ratings. It's time for all of us to move on from the "stolen election" myth. Let us be willing to suffer for the cause of Christ, but not for "fake news" from the left or the right - that stuff is not a hill worth dying on. In fact, it's not worth a hill of beans.

I think it's very important to make the distinction between those at the rally, someone protesting outside the capitol (even beyond the barriers) and those who clearly broke in or followed those who broke into the capital which was closed on that day. If the capitol police had been prepared that day then everyone inside the capitol that day would have been arrested and tried for criminal trespassing in a federal building at the least.

Anyone who have served in the military knows you must swear an oath to "support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.” I would be willing to die for those on the outside's right to protest, but I would also give my life to defend the constitutional process that was about to happen on that faithful day. The peaceful transition of government is one of the most important tenets of our form of government.

The time and place to fight the results of the election was in court, long before the day the U.S. Congress was to affirm the presidential election results. President Trump did a lousy job making his case in court. If a very conservative Supreme Court did not feel there was enough evidence to delay the certification then that is it. Any attempts to stop it through violence, after the high court had ruled, could only be met by violence. In most countries if you attempted to stop the transition of government the results would not be good.

I do not support denying anyone their due process regardless of what they believe or what they did.

Some face very serious charges and may have been denied bail because they are a flight risk. None the less any allegations of mistreatment should be looked into.

I followed the election quite closely and it seemed obvious from the beginning that Trump was going to lose. I did not want to believe it but here we are. As a Christian, I have to come to grips with the fact that however Biden got into office, he did so according to God's sovereign will and good pleasure and I have to rest in this. Its time that God's people divorce themselves from all the nonsense, remember that our citizenship is in Heaven, and stick to what truly matters!

It seems you lapped up the vomitus of the legacy media and the Jan. 6 'Selective' Committee all too eagerly.

The released videos are already contradicting the narrative.

Jan. 6 Chair Claims Security Concerns Over Sharing Footage With Tucker Carlson https://link.theepochtimes.com/mkt_...cker-carlson_5073457.html?utm_source=andshare

Carlson said he and his producers had already been reviewing the security footage from the Capitol for about a week by the time reports emerged that he had access to the trove of information. Carlson suggested the footage his team has reviewed thus far has already begun to contradict some of the claims that have been made about the events of that day.

I do not doubt this for a second, but they were inside the capitol on a day that the capitol was closed to all visitors. Only employees and official personal were allowed in on that day.

The protestors who were inside the building were clearly not there with permission. Looks like a case of criminal trespassing at the least.

Have you not seen the videos of the police removing barricades and waving people in?

We’re they the same ones that erected gallows and chanted “hang Mike Pence”?

The "insurrectionists" were actually just a harmless bunch of confused, befuddled tourists who happened to be toting a portable gallows with them, like DC tourists normally do.

Another portion of the clip shows a man erecting gallows outside the Capitol building on January 6

"Another portion of the clip shows a man erecting gallows outside the Capitol building on January 6."

"Charges from the January 6 riot range from curfew violations to serious federal felonies related to theft and weapons possession. Some of those arrests include Robert Sanford, 55, a retired Pennsylvania firefighter, who allegedly threw a fire extinguisher that hit three Capitol Police officers during the violent siege.

"He was charged with assault of a police officer, disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds, civil disorder and unlawfully entering the Capitol. His lawyer said he was a Trump supporter who got caught up in the mob mentality."

[Huh - some of the insurrectionists admitted to being Trumpies? We were told that it was a false flag operation - Antifa pretending to be Trumpies].

Just harmless frat boy stuff, that’s all.😗

Much depends on how you define "insurrection." Media, prominent Democrats, and the January 6 commission seem to imply there was some attempt to overthrow the government. What I observed was a riot--definitely mayhem and lawbreaking, but no organized effort to carry out an actual revolt.

That "gallows" is obviously a prop, albeit a tasteless one, unless they were planning to string up midgets on it.

Then you'll tell your grandkids about how you swallowed camels.
Hopefully I will live long enough to see grandkids, and if I do I hope they see a witness from papaw that demonstrates that political activism pales in comparison to the eternally impactful work of spreading the gospel and building the kingdom. But in my spare time I’ll remind them that all the chicken-little-sky-is-falling handwringing over politics that they did back in my day never came to fruition.
