So, what did you/do you believe?

Not that I agree with Godfrey totally, I believe he was very much mistreated after his leaving HAC. And I believe the students were encouraged to show their displeasure with Godfrey. (as told to me by a family member who was there at the time)

Part of me wishes I had been a student during that time period.

As told to me by Godfrey.

All true!! JH had a ministry wide staff meeting at FBC for all ministry employees to attend.  It was said that if any staff were found to communicate with the Godfrey's, they'd be terminated immediately. This was at the the time when JH was bragging that he'd never fired anybody in Hammond, and he'd been there for 30 years.  Times were beginning to change, huh?
This was when the "100% Loyal" buttons were being beginning to be worn.

Remember the story about the secretary that changed the text of a letter he had dictated?  He fired her because she made "improvements".  Was that not at Hammond?  Or was it earlier when he was still in Texas?

I don't remember that one.  Of course, I'm not 1/2 the Hacker that you are.  :)

Now that should be the title of a new song.
Anyone feel inspired to write it?

I am sure that was a Texas incident. For some reason I remember a lot of his examples/illustrations even after these many decades and bottles of Binaca.

Just refrain from snorting Binaca.  Not a pleasant experience.  :)

Yes, and then he cried "I Saw the Light, I saw the Light!"

Look folks - forget the snorting for sinuses, drops in the ear for earache and swimmer's ear, drops in the eye for vision - just pop that little plastic drop maker and chug it!

It also opens your mind to new understandings.  I hear JS threw back several bottles before starting his study on Lord's Supper.  :o

Yes.  It is.  It has made a resurgence lately.  Hey, if kids can by the morning after pill over the counter, why not little bottles of 27% alcohol?
