Potential loss of my job....prayer request

I'll keep this short, because it is a lonnnng story.  I just found out that I may lose my job in about a month, and at a minimum if I don't lose my job then it is highly likely that I'll be forced to take another crappier job with a reduction in pay.  I'd appreciate any prayers for the situation that the Lord would just see me through it, that I would make prudent and wise decisions, and that nothing would arise that would tempt me in any way to lose my testimony.  Thanks.
 
Praying for you, man. I've been through that before.  Not fun.
 
So sorry about this news.  May the Lord show you a plain path (Ps. 27:11) to follow. 
 
I've been applying for jobs and I've had them look right at me and tell me I'm to old ....its surprised me but I'm not stopping..A layman I'm praying for you...
 
Read psalms 56....its a great chapter
 
Alayman, you can surely count on my prayers.  And I just have to say, the humble way you worded your prayer request really touched my heart.  May God's blessings rain upon you and yours, my brother.
 
I probably won't know anything for at least a month, and in the mean time will be hunting a job with my current employer in a vastly different field.  There's a possibility that I may be retrained and kept on staff, but there's no absolute guarantees of continued employment.


I appreciate my forum friends very much, and value y'alls prayers.  Thanks so kindly.

But meanwhile can't we find something in the way you wrote the OP to fight about? There has got to be some sort of nit to pick.  ;)

Worried about not losing your testimony?  :o  Didn't that happen when you joined the forum?  Haven't you heard the rants -er- preaching about all of the wicked manure spreaders on the internet!?!  Sorry, pal, but you are one of 'em!  :P

Oh man have I been there. For the past several years I have been on the verge of losing my business which I had been doing well at. Extremely exasperating and many here can attest to. We have so little control over what comes our way. I will be praying man!

Actually, I could write a book on what I have been feeling spiritually the past several years with this. Keep the faith my friend! God knows what He is doing even if I don't.

Your last sentence says it all.  Thanks for the encouraging words, and prayers.
 
Thank you Web....we are new at this so a friend told us to get an advocate and they know how to get things... I'll keep you posted. I will say this on an open forum if something happens to my husband while waiting for who knows what to approve us for health care....we have worked for 30 years..I'm stepping away from the soapbox
 
We were told we were accepted for the health insurance and we are awaiting the cards... when I see them I'll believe it....
 
Very sorry to hear that.  It's not a good time for anyone to be out of work.  Will be praying.  Go to the job boards on line, get signed up and hopefully and prayerfully things will come open.  God Bless!
