Maybe the "fact" where he asserted his superiority because all conservatives were stupid.

And what have you done thus far to change his perception?  I doubt whining about it to me will have the intended effect.

I don't care who is guilty and who isn't, Ransom.  The process will decide what is what.  I have said that from the beginning.  Nimrod isn't in charge of the case, and neither are you or I.  Facts are sometimes elusive things.  Misinformation has gone out on both sides, but if you think everything Nimrod said was facts, you need your head examined.  BTW, I am not responsible for the way nimrod thinks.  He is the product of the best brainwashers that education can buy.

Try not to make up claims out of thin air.

1. I did not assert my superiority.  I said that I knew more than you (and several others here) know about certain topics.  That isn't the same thing as claiming superiority.  You are sloppy in reading, and careless in tossing accusations.  As usual.

2. I did not say that all conservatives were stupid.  I've met several who were quite bright. Just not around here.  ::) The conservatives I find on this forum are appallingly ignorant.

3. In fact, if you go back to my original posts on this forum, I was trying to lay out my case for energy independence, global oil markets, etc. in a careful and dispassionate way, because I thought there might be some intelligent conservatives here. Boy, was I ever wrong. The quest for intelligent life fell flat on its face in this forum.  This place is like a wingnutter circus where family trees are an exercise in recursion (look it up).

4. So since knock-down/drag-out brawling seems to be the only kind of language that you inbred rednecks understand, I'm perfectly willing to reflect back to you the same treatment you give to anyone else who disagrees with your puny little minds.

1. You're a moron who doesn't like to be embarrassed on a public forum. Too bad; you should be used to it by now.

2. It may comfort your wounded ego to think that I'm brainwashed; the reality is that I do all my own thinking.  It's one of the best things anyone can do for themselves:  read broadly, sample opinions from many areas, and then decide what makes the most sense. The fact that you lack the intellectual horsepower and/or personal work ethic to do the same thing - well, that's your own, sad shortcoming. Don't assume others are likewise crippled.

3. Now as for Zimmerman - let's have a look at what actually happened. From the 911 transcript:

Zimmerman: (safe in his car) "

If FOX News told me that water was wet, you bet your bottom dollar I'd double check it.

Point 4 is why I have been unwilling to engage with you on those issues. Having observed your behavior with other posters, I'm certain you would point your derision in my direction as well, and I have no desire to deal with it.

He's a smart guy who knows a lot of stuff. But... take-no-prisoners debates are something I avoid. I'm not unqualified for them. I was on my high school debate team, and we were very good. I did plenty of them in my late teens and early 20's when I was a political zealot, and I loved it then, was argumentative just for fun, and I sought out the most argumentative and informed opposition for the challenge.

But I maybe OD'd on it. Or my heart changed when I came back to Christianity (I had been a Christian at 12, and then wandered off into confused seeker and later agnostic skeptic land). Whatever it was, I lost all taste for being argumentative. I still love discussing issues, but only in a friendly tossing ideas back and forth way. Any animosity kills it for me, and I lose interest and wander off.

And ladies and gentlemen, our wingbat here gets a D+ for reading ability.
I said I doubted FOX News, you moron.

Incorrect. I started these discussions in a slow and thoughtful manner.  I only get rude when someone is rude to me first. You've never done that.
If you go back and review the specific interactions that you and I had on economics, politics, etc. you'll find that I said nothing out of order or amiss.
Go ahead; see if I'm correct or not.

I act like a mirror; reflecting back whatever treatment that I receive. The problem is that these so-called rugged conservatives love to dish it out, but get all whiny when someone fights back.

No, I'm just not impressed by arguments that begin with "FOX News / the guy at the auto body shop / my brother-in-law told me such and such".

That must really ruin your day.
