I have been a member of 8 very conservative IFB churches and have never heard anyone say it is a sin for a woman to wear pants. Apparently, there are plenty of you out there who have heard it.
I've been a member of two and they said it was. There are plenty of people within the IFB Church who believe such things.
Have you ever heard of Fairhaven? Listen to one of his sermons and you'll hear it for the first time.
My daughter goes to Fairhaven for a year now. Goes to every church service. She's home for a visit, so I asked her just now. She said it is obvious looking around in a church service that the women do believe in wearing skirts to church. But does not remember a single sermon about pants on women in the last year. It may have happened, her memory is not perfect, but that is a far cry from what you are saying.
They have a dress code for the bus routes, and it does not mention wearing dresses to church.
Says something about fully covered, but I get the idea that can include long pants as well.
It just doesn't say dresses only is what I remember.
Perhaps you are speaking from past experience. The fact that most of the women wear dresses probably means they teach that, so I am sure it is mentioned time and again. Current experience there seems to be different than listen-to-any-sermon.to hear it.
