Not that I know of. She is a serious journalist/author/pundit and not a swimsuit model. Not that I'd think any the less of her if she were to do an SI shoot.

And I don't claim to look as good. Some say I do, but I don't necessarily believe them. What I meant by comparing myself to her is that my peculiar ethnic mix results in my being mistaken sometimes for a Pinay, or Filapina, which Michelle is, 100%. Her last name is from her American husband.

Oh, I must have got her confused with someone else. So what does she have to do with bikinis then? I don't really know that many names in SI both now and in the past - just names like Kathy Ireland (past) and Kate Upton (present - she's on the 2012 SI cover). And I just looked up Malkin on wiki and found out she's exactly one month older than me and she may be JJ's type but not my type. I'm sure she's a nice woman for he age but the idea of someone her age in a bikini is not as appealing as if she was 10 years or more younger. It's the same with someone like Valerie Bertinelli - even though she has a decent bikini body, I still think she was better looking when she was younger and chubbier 15-20 years ago or so and fully clothed - I never thought of her as fat and unattractive back then. But being thin has been the standard since the Twiggy days - it's being modified to curvy like Kim Kardashian but it's still far removed from the Marilyn Monroe days.
I think Twiggy appealed to men and was admired by women who wanted sex but without the consequences of children - that was the times then and the effects of that went on into the 80's when I was growing up. Now there seems to be a mini baby boom at least in some towns - not in big cities - more women are having children at younger ages now at least where I live - I've never seen so many women with babies in my lifetime and these are not all children adopted from other countries - some of them are too young to have been adopted. You can also see evidence of that in the existence of Babies R Us (there was no Babies R Us in my town even just a few years ago). There is definitely an interest in having children now that hasn't been seen in decades.

Michelle Malkin is 41. That's not old! And taking a quick look at her photos on Google images, she is still fit and trim and would probably look just fine in a bikini. She is a mom, but it doesn't seem to have hurt her figure. I definitely think that in most places a bikini is not proper attire for a Christian woman or any one for that matter. The problem now though is that it's not just on the beach - it's on the street. In L.A. there are lots of girls in some of the skimpiest bikinis (thong bikinis) - thankfully I don't live there. I personally think L.A. is worse than Ancient Rome - in Ancient Rome if they didn't have laws regarding scanty clothing they certainly has customs. And a thong bikini or g-string would have been repulsive - maybe even barbaric to the Romans. Even Adam and Eve's fig leaf aprons covered more. The Bible gives examples of where the buttocks are uncovered (the buttocks are the outer fleshy part not the hidden part that a thin piece of cloth covers) and in each case the one is in the state of undress is embarrassed and not flaunting. Maybe our biggest problem is many of us can't blush any more (Jeremiah 6:15) - yes we get angry about some things but do we blush about anything. There is no where in Scripture that says it is good to be desensitized - in fact that is the state of someone who has departed from the faith - being desensitized is the same as having a seared conscience - it maybe that many of us just have a seared conscience. I believe however that a seared conscience can happen to Christians as well but there is hope - a Christian can have a healed conscience - I can testify to that. There are some things that I once was desensitized to that I'm now ashamed of. Some call these things matters of conscience but I wonder what Paul by the Holy Spirit would have wrote if this were an issue. In his day - the big thing was eating meat offered to idols - that's nothing compared to the things we allow today and yet that was offensive to some weak believers. The city of Los Angeles was once a religious place and they would never have believed that there would be girls in thong bikinis in public places for every one to see almost as naked as the natives they saw. Although the Catholic missionaries in those days didn't necessarily try to get them to change their dress - I think that was just a Protestant thing, they also didn't think it was fine for them or their children (not all the Catholics were priests) to change the way they dressed in public. If they did have to be naked near or in the ocean they were discreet about it and made sure no one saw them except for a spouse. Today however even some professing Christians think nudism is good - if they think that is good we shouldn't be surprised if many think wearing very little is also acceptable in public. It's no wonder the church as a whole has lost it's influence in people's lives and people have no respect for the church any more. People have more respect for Muslims now even if they don't agree with them than they do the church mainly because there are too many types of Christians - the only thing we have in common is what we believe about God's law and what is taught about Christ. We've forgotten how to think in matters of personality and ethics. We just look at the ten commandments and we think that's all that God wants us to do - that's actually a form of legalism believe it or not - it's legalism without the traditions of men. God wants us to walk in the Spirit and be constantly seeking the Lord's will like David did. No this doesn't mean that God gives us new revelation but he does sanctify us so that we can think and do the right thing. I was reading today in 1 Samuel about how Saul was going after David and David would inquire of the Lord about what he should do. What really struck me was where it says that God said David could do whatever he thought was good in his sight to do to Saul? Now I don't believe that God would have said this to someone who would really kill Saul. God knew David's heart - he was a man after God's own heart - and thus he would not do something that would not be God's will at the time. Now God may allow us to do certain things that are wrong but he also will reprove us for doing so in some way. However I think we need to also be "after God's own heart" and be in God's word and taking heed to his word so that we can even know that we are being reproved by God. There are some Christians who simply don't see what they are doing as wrong even if God and those who walk with God think it is so it is impossible for them to reproved with a word. In the matter of bikinis especially thong bikinis, they say that men need to control their own thoughts but many men especially unsaved men don't want to control their thoughts because those thoughts make them happy. And even those who do control their thoughts in many cases through no fault of their own especially in the Summer and even more so in L.A. as I mentioned above are being hormonally stimulated through what they see much more now than in the past. This is a nuisance to someone who is walking with God. I'm not talking about how a girl dresses in places I don't go like the beach. I'm talking about how they dress on the street and even at the mall. Now I don't know if they are Christians since most of them are strangers and I am like every one else - I'm not a prophet who can tell who is saved and who is not. But I can say that if Christian girls knew what a nuisance their skimpy (skimpy by even the world's standards - skimpy but still considered modest by the world's standards which seem to change - it's all relative to them). I think also a lot of "good" sweet girls dress this way because they didn't have fathers or mothers who cared about what they wore - and that just may be the problem. We know from statistics that there are millions of people (men and women) who view porn - I think this has made them not care about how their daughters dress - I only mention daughters because boys don't dress like the girls do - guys dress to just be cool - girls either dress to be cool or cute - they like bikinis because they say they are cute. That's the difference between guys and girls - guys don't care about how cute the bikini - they just like what they see and to imagine what they can't see - if she is attractive of course - the same principle applies to tight mini-skirts and short shorts that are also tight. The more a guy sees the more he wants to see. And I guarantee that guys don't respect those girls as much as those who are wearing jeans or are wearing more than just a little bit. So many girls end up with guys who "love" them but don't really love them because there is no respect. And most of these girls I see with their boyfriends are wearing revealing clothing. It's like the whole rapper culture with the misogynist guys and girls in revealing clothes - you never see these guys with girls in less revealing clothes. The sad thing is that these girls feel they don't deserve respect but just want love in the form of sex - otherwise they'd not be in those relationships and would probably dress differently. Prostitutes don't dress the way they do simply as identification - they do so to arouse interest in men.  Today's prostitutes are not that different from girls who dress the same as they do but offer their body for free. In the old days even girls who had sex before marriage would make guys earn it. I've observed animals in nature and I can tell you that some humans are worse than animals. There are animals that pair up and are monogamous for life. Other animals such as male deer fight each other for the female. With some girls they just have sex with any guy they think is attractive and usually it is girls who are in revealing clothes because that is how they get these kinds of guys. They don't want guys who respect them and don't want to have sex with them on the first date so they dress in such a way to attract the open-minded guys. If an attractive Christian woman (normally this is a young woman) is dressed like this she should not be surprised if she gets hit on/propositioned by strangers and the only way to prevent that from happening is to dress differently - more like a normal respectable person.

I wouldn't call that particular picture 'porn', but I believe it should be noted that some men do find big girls very attractive. The web is full of porn sites that cater to this demographic. I personally find big girls very attractive and pictures like that can actually cause me to lust ....

Good point. It's not very common but everybody has different tastes some are even perverted. Porn also must be deemed to be "obscene" to be considered porn. It must be arousing to one person but obscene to another person. This is how American law defines porn any ways.

What is really wrong with that pic however is that it shows a girl that is comfortable being at an unhealthy weight. I'd be interested in knowing what the story is behind the picture. Was it taken by a guy who thought it would be funny to put on the internet or is it the girl's boyfriend who took the picture - a lot of girls like this have boyfriends you know - don't think that these are all lonely girls. A lot of guys just like to post pictures of their girlfriends even if they know that probably most guys think she's unattractive.
