Two things need to be determined...

1.  What does she look like?
2.  Does her manogwad say its okay?

Well?  I think it is.

An old preacher that has since passed on used to say:  If you can wear a bikini and still dress modestly, have at it.  Personally, I can't. :)  I don't know, I have mixed feelings.  Most women would have a fit if you saw them in their bra and bloomers, but when they wear much less to the beach, somehow that is different.  Since I am not a woman, and my wife doesn't wear bikinis (her own choice), and I don't have daughters, only sons, I will back out of this one.  Seems like a personal choice, like is the preacher at the "coast" (that's where Baptists go) too? :)

Shaped like a supermodel, then yes.  :P

Shaped like Kirstie Alley when she was doing her "Fat Actress" show, then no way.  :o

And to think, I was just getting ready to head out and get something to eat. Now, however, I think I just lost my appetite (and threw up a little in my mouth).

I would certainly be worried about your old preacher even attempting to find out if he can wear a bikini modestly!

Some images make you wonder where they found such a wide angle lens! 8)

I do wear a bikini on the beach. While I am no supermodel, I am fit and not fat. My biggest concern is there's no place to conceal my Browning. :P

Sure, why not?  I mean, the FFF mantra is "We're FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeee", and demands that culture determine such matters of morality,  moral relativism being their compass.

Cigarettes are great.

AC/DC for our worship music.

Gambling RULES!

Liquor up, Luther did!!

Eat, drink, be merry, for tomorrow we die!!!

Did you forget your prescription meds today?

I'm sure your memory has more problems with "modest images" than you'll ever have with someone wearing a bikini on a beach... ;)

Leave him alone. He is scrolling up and down to check out the bikini picture above. :D

It depends on her reason for wearing a bikini at the beach. Does she do it just to get people to look at her? To look at the results of her hard work at the gym for her six pack abs?

Probably more the latter. And to get a decent tan.

Do most of the answers (themes and variations on "is she hot?") not answer the question?

Bikinis are more common place now than they were even 20 years ago. Almost every woman is wearing them no matter what their age or shape is. Some can even say that at least the most common bikini is not sexy any more. Designers have come out with one-piece suits that are sexier or more appealing than a bikini or at least most bikinis.

So far as modesty of dress, it is culturally relative. You cannot know if a given mode of dress is modest without knowing the culture it's worn in. In Saudi Arabia, anything less than a burkha may be immodest. In a naturist enclave in the south of France, or with a primitive tribe in Papua New Guinea, a bikini may be overdressed.

But I have problems with those other statements:

1) I am allergic to cigarette smoke, and can't stand being around smokers. If they're in my house or car, I make them step outside to smoke. And in the US at least, smoking is becoming less and less socially acceptable.

2) AC/DC is great classic rock, but it ain't worship music.

3) I don't think gambling is necessarily immoral, if you don't become an addict. But I have no interest in it, never have. I seem to entirely lack the gambling impulse.

4) Yes, Luther and Calvin did love their beer, and Spurgeon smoked cigars. All great men of God, and I don't think they were abusing their Christian liberties. If I criticize them, it's because I have issues with their ideas, not with their personal habits.
