Every old crow thinks his is the blackest.

I know why he said it, but this is a bit of a strange one:

"If you would learn to love each other at my funeral, I would a thousand times rather God take me now."
Where you there on monday night of his last PS? 2000?
He shut everything down, and begged us to get along?

I'm sure that's where the quote is from.  It made a great difference in the lives of Bob Gray and Keith Gomez.  :)

"I never had a trial I wanted to have, but I never had a trial I wasn't glad I had."

Yeah, we noticed.

"You can't love your enemies unless you have some."

"You are not what your actions are; you are what your reactions are."

"The happiest folks in the world are not those who have the most, but rather those who want the least."

"You give me the English teachers who give the English class what the basketball coach gives the basketball team, and we'll have English classes that learn like our basketball teams play."

I try.

On a side note, I recently heard about a small school system in a very rural part of our state where the coach - who does nothing but coach - has a higher yearly salary than the superintendent of that entire school system, let alone the teachers.

After hearing that, do you suppose it's safe to surmise this is true or close to being so in most school districts?

Depends on how well the team is doing.

"You will be what you are becoming."

"I know enough of God to want to know more."

"The greatest blessing in the whole world is being a blessing."

"Clay is earth with humility."

"To lose something in the will of God is to find something better."

"Man's greatest need is to have a need."
