Deaths Of HAC Students

PASTOR JOE WETZL
Died May 7, 2015

He was a deacon in my dad's church when I was growing up. He taught my teen class for a while. But I will forever be indebted to him b/c he taught me how to win souls. He spent about six months patiently coaching me through all sorts of aspects of soul winning. He was one of the most passionate soul winners I've ever known.

Bob Heath took the Pastor's Refresher back in late 70s (78 or 79).
He then was pastor of Maplewood Bible Baptist Church in Chicago.
He was principal of the Christian school I attended before he went to HAC.
He passed away Saturday after a 2 or 3 week illness, and complications of pneumonia.
A couple of his children also attended HAC.

Our church is 125 years old. He was the longest serving pastor (23 years) in its history. He also led it to its greatest height numerically. He was a strong supporter of CLA and when they went to Florida he led in the formation of LLM. He loved the bus ministry.  He left a testimony here of financial stewardship, soul winning, pastoral leadership, and generosity. He was a good man.

He was/is one of my favorite people in the whole world, and he truly loved his Lord and Savior!

Sword,
Thanks for posting these, I attended HAC with a few of those you listed.

We know very little about some of these folks.

If you knew some of them then fill us in. A little history, background, funny stories, and happy memories.
