To give balance, here's the story of Noah's drunkeness and a few things to note
Genesis 9:20-25
King James Version (KJV)
20 And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard:
21 And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent.
22 And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without.
23 And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness.
24 And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him.
25 And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.
Most importantly, NOAH WAS SAVED despite his drunkenness. Yes i know we are discussing recreational use of drugs but I wanted to point that out. Noah and his family, 8 people out of everyone. the NT tells us the road is narrow and few will get thru it. Whether or not someone drinks or gets drunk obviously DOESN'T determine salvation
Sort of off topic but the open perversion Noah's son showed towards his fathers body was met with a Curse perpetrated by Noah himself. So...there are worse things in life than drunkenness, not to be taken as a free pass. Just that accidents happen, and my guess is Noah rectified his misjudgement caused by the intoxicating substance he ingested. Either by not drinking at all, or so very little it wouldn't come close to drunkenness.
