a jacksons chameleon... .. also found in the hawaiian rainforests... .. originally from kenya .. they
began showing up in hawaiian jungles in the 1970s.... probably as result of pets that escaped and
became established in the wild.... today they are plentiful in hawaii... but hard to spot....

Badgers?

I’ve never seen a badger, but I just read that there are some in the state, although not native.
We have our share around here. Years ago, I was walking out to my shop when I saw movement out of the corner of my eye. I turned around and saw it was a badger 🦡! I'd seen them around here but never thought about seeing one of on our property. Never saw any signs of them since, until this morning. The tracks were right next to the carport where Mrs. abcaines parks her car.

Badgers?
we have several old books on tracking.... and it kinda matches the drawings of a fox foot print.. ..it also matches the fox tracks i remember seeing on the one mainland hunting trip i have been on....the size is right... and the depression is shallow which indicates a relatively light animal like a fox.... ...

a badger print would be deeper and with longer claws... and raccoons have longer fingers that spread out..... .. members of the cat family don;t leave claw marks when they travel - as they walk with claws retracted..... ..

if the print on the right side in the picture is one foot .. and not 2 prints on top of each other.. then i would say porcupine - since their back feet are longer than their front feet..... . ..but then what i said about the badger - raccoon and porcupine prints are strictly from pictures and descriptions in the books... i have never seen those animals or their tracks in the wild.....

Definitely possible. Another possibility I didn't think of it that of a marmot aka ground hog. We had a few of them on the property before I took out all the juniper shrubs. We've seen fox, badgers, possibly even a cougar!😳 No porcupines though.

Only animals on my property are alligators and the occasional raccoon. We live on a lake, so alligators are pretty common 🐊
