Rather than an interesting conversation topic, it sounds more to me like a hot potato or a can o' worms. Sorry.

I have voted, for option 1. Further deponent sayeth not.

First, how would you know that it is a gay wedding unless a man name Frank orders them and says he is the bride?

Could just make up a tacky set of fake flowers for their tacky, fake wedding.

I chose "other".  I would provide floral arrangements to them because they are people, and providing floral arrangements to people is what I do.

I voted other.

I would explain to them that same sex marriages goes against my beliefs. I would not preach fire and brimstone to them. Instead, I would calmly explain, using Scripture, why I believe what I do.

If a man comes in your floral shop who you realize is divorced because he simply couldn't get along with is wife, and he wants to order some flowers for his new sweetheart, are you going to calmly explain, using scripture, why you believe that is wrong?

If a hotel comes into your floral shop and wants to order 10 dozen roses on Valentines Day and your realize that those rose petals are going to be put on the floor and in the bath water of the rooms of young lovers that will be checking into their hotel after the Prom lets out, are you going to calmly explain, using scripture, why you believe that is wrong?

Wouldn't it be a better idea, if you would realize that your floral shop is not a ministry, but a business.

And let the Lord deal with their sins.

Who are those to gentlemen?

They are not gentlemen, they are hucksters and the one on the left is a racist; AKA Dr. Hambone and Philly the Kidd. Surprised you don't know them.  According to some, they are the "big boys" of X-dumb.  Not sure why, it was my first thought after reading the OP.  ;D

Are those their real names or are those names to mock them? Was an x'er for decades but they are not familiar to me.  Of course I have worked hard at wiping all memories of those years from my little brain.

Philly always looks to me like he's hiding nuts in his cheeks. Hambone always looks like he forgot to put in his partial.

Yes.

Having worked in the hospitality industry for over 15 years and having seen the fallout of "young love" the next morning, most assuredly yes.

Ah, but it would be my business to run as I see fit. If I also wanted to minister to my customers, I would be well within my right to do so. The customer is always free to take their business elsewhere if they don't like how I run my business. Is that smart and/or profitable? Perhaps not, but I would pray that there were others who felt as I do and would patronize my business. If not, then it would go belly up.

I find it exceedingly difficult to take seriously any argument written by someone adopting the name "Bush Bitler."

Of course I'd say the same thing of Bill Blinton Bol Bot, or Ossein Obama O'Marx, so . . .

And in reply to the original post, if gay couples are going to fall for the scam of gay marriage, I would be more than happy to part the fools from their money and speed them on their way.

It does make for a nice sock puppet name, doesn't it?

I wouldn't have a problem selling the flowers, even though I don't like the concept. Same could go for a number of life situations.

People are people, no matter what their choices. I'm not going to change them by refusing to treat them like any other customer in the situation you describe. However, I'd not keep my mouth shut about my beliefs. There's no reason not to present what you believe in a setting like that. If they wanted help planning the arrangements, etc., I'd even feel I had an obligation to share that and let them make the decision on whether they still wanted me to be the person to help them. I know if I was planning a wedding, I'd want everyone on board and if someone taking care of an important aspect like that wasn't able to share in my joy, I'd take my business elsewhere rather than be uncomfortable with them because they thought I was doing something horribly wrong.

I always believed Homosexuality to be a horrible sin. Is it wise to be an accomplice in the foolish idea of same-sex marriage? After all, would you help someone commit murder, or help a friend commit adultery?

I personally don't believe that providing floral arrangements is always just a 'service' since many times a cake or floral arrangement enhance the event. My wife just made a very elaborate cake for someone's 16th birthday party today ... I would dare say the event wouldn't have been the same without her artistic touch. This cake was created based on the 16 year-olds wishes. Many times flowers and wedding cakes are created to enhance the mood based on the customers wishes. Since a same-sex customer wants a special moment, your floral arrangement would enhance it.

Back to my question then .... Is it wise to be an accomplice in the foolish idea of same-sex marriage?

"Accomplice"?  LOL!  Are you serious?  Since when do flowers unite a couple?  Flowers have absolutely no legel bearing on a union whatsoever.  Lots of people get married without them.

Hey, if your friend stops at your shop and buys flowers and then commits murder on the way home, you won't be held responsible so breathe easy.  ;)

Their "special moment" enhances my bank account.

Selling flowers is not a sin, and what the buyer does with them is not my responsibility.
