It was bad advice that thankfully I did NOT take.  When I moved from Birmingham to Atlanta, I was still a member (barely attending) an IFB church.  The pastor asked me what IFB church I planned to attend in Atlanta.  I told him that I didn't know where I would go to church and he said that I should base my move to Atlanta on where I would go to church - not that my job was moving me here.  If I could not find a church prior to moving, I should not move. 

I moved anyway and that was my final breakaway from IFBdom.

Seriously. In a city the size of Atlanta, there is no shortage of churches. It's not like finding one there would ever be a problem.
