Are you sick?
Thank you for asking. My FIL went into the hospital with stroke like symptoms and I came down to see if I could help.

We lived in Middletown, RI, in the 90's and had to drive off the island to find a Taco Bell.  What were we thinking?

Do you use rabbit ears, or mouse ears, to tune in to the world?

Definitely some mouse ears.

Gone are the days of adjusting the antenna on top of the TV.

My grandparents used to have this contraption that was a dial on top of the TV.  Whenever you turned the channel of the TV, you turned this dial and it would automatically move the antenna on the roof to an appropriate direction.
Nothing but space age for us!

You mean you had more than one channel?

When we were first married, we lived in an A-frame house surrounded by woods.  Cable TV didn't even go out that far and satellite dishes were larger than the house (and more expensive.)

My husband put up an antenna sticking up through the trees.  We would turn to a channel we might try to watch.  He'd then go outside leaving the sliding glass door open, and would manually turn the pole until I yelled that it was ok.  Sometimes, if it were quite windy, he'd have to go back out and turn it again.

Sometimes, we just read a book or did a puzzle.  :D
