When will the soap opera about the other FFF stop coming here?

The problem with the other, other forums has been their obsession with the 666.

But, to be fair, the feeling was mutual - we also had a good laugh at the inept gridiot forum and the Timmeh! dominated Sword forum.

It's just that now the shoe's on the other foot, and the fleabaggers are the inept ones.

I don't find this forum to be any worse, or any better, than other forums in which I have participated.  It is still fairly new, even though the whole concept is an offshoot of another forum.  It's a forum, with human beings posting....that alone makes it susceptible to any number of problems.  If you like it here, post and enjoy your self.  If you don't like it here, then move on to another forum that you are comfortable with.  Either way, all of the moaning and groaning and is quite unattractive.

LAMER is the one complaining about the FFF threads, not Top.

I stands by what I says....Top started at least 4 threads and Al one. I could care less about whether one starts a thread about the FFF or not but we can get the facts straight.

Indeed, LAMER is notorious for starting threads that end up being a "soap opera".

You must be sittin' down

Take it over there and leave it there.

Ahh, but Ironman wants us all to come over there and post, hence the new thread he calls
"We should integrate the FF boards"http://www.fundamentalforums.com/fighting-forum/105143-great-idea-we-should-integrate-ff-boards.html

I read some posts over there today and it is like a wasteland. A few Hyles people posting in their little threads, and Ironman and invictus and Joan of Arc (who is a really weird perso who I found out publicly bashes her own son) posting.  Time will tell whether the owners will keep paying the bill to keep the light on.

Not to mention Bass "31 days of..." threads.  Each of her threads now has only ONE view.

The End.

As bad as that wasteland is, this place is PRETTY slow itself.  Maybe the shallowness of this new effort does need the soap opera drama of the other FFF to sustain its existence after all.

This forum has had quite a bit of Jr. High drama.  Hopefully it will begin to cease, and the adults will be able to talk.

It seems that both places are slow....maybe we've diluted both forums.
Personally, I don't have an axe to grind either way.....but believe with the current ownership of the 666, this edition of the FFF has great potential.
I think some on the 666....the Sword Forum 'base' mostly....have a problem with this Forum, but i'm not exactly why.

But to thrive, a forum needs some drama and conflict.....so shut up!  :D

And what, pray tell, would you like the adults to talk about?

You think so?  This place seems pretty active to me.

I agree.

I rarely get to read or post because I teach school.

Three posters have over half of the posts here.

Seems like life support.

I suppose it is all relative.  My expectations are probably framed in respect to my memory of the depth and substantive nature of former <early> incarnations of the FFF.  Yes, *some* of the "action" was merely bickering and juvenile, but most of it was at least amusing, rather than much of the droll theatrics that passes for "entertainment" in the last several FFF lifespans.

All I'm talking about is how I come here and see a page full of "new" markers.  The FFF fighting forum has far fewer new posts, and they're mostly by Ironbrain and maddog and the occasional troll by demondixhead.  I see lots of different names posting here.  I'm not sure why someone said only a few people post here.

So far I have had a good time on here. There have been a few times when it has been a little slow, but I see the new markers pretty regular. This place has 138 members, and of more of them would post we probably would have a lot more conversations started. I have found that when you are around people with more experience than you, you either spend more time listening or asking questions that will bring you some more knowledge. I must admit that seeing a lot of posters on the other forum have thousands of posts to their name was a little intimidating. I'm not used to having a battle of wits with that many people on such a worldwide stage. Not to mention there is a whole lot more life and religious experience involved with most of you. So when this forum was created, I saw it as an opportunity to be more assertive and jump in with both feet. Where I'm from there is not a lot of conversations that are built on good logic, therefore not hard to debate here. Get on the big stage and you're likely to get called out in a hurry if your premises are screwed up, not to mention your conclusion. I see this place as a great way to broaden my horizons, learn to debate without looking like a dunce, interact with people of different leanings and convictions, and try some of my own ideas on the masses to see whether they they may have merit.

Just sayin'.... :)
