What's with Vince?

It's time to find out the list of Who's Who!!  :)

I am certain of the name of only one of the "alleged" so-called "Roadway gang."  Even though many at HAC at the time pegged me as the ring-leader, I knew of only one of the group who perpetrated the heinous act.  So, knowing the names may be difficult.  For all the love I have for my friend VM, I've read everything that he has written here as well as on the old forum, and as much as I would like to avoid disappointing anyone, most of what he writes is inaccurate -- and I do mean "most."

The reality is as I mentioned in another thread.  There is no Roadway "gang."  There was an incident that occurred near the Roadway Trucking facility.  That is it.

There were no "gangsters" or "Nazis" as such.  Making a long story short, here, I had read William Shirer's Rise and Fall of the Third Reich, and shared the story with my friend DC, who was over all of the Route 70 buses.  That fall, the Route 70 buses averaged well over 1000 per Sunday, and my particular bus pulled into the lot each Sunday of the fall campaign as "top" bus.  JV labeled us the "World's Largest Bus Route."  JC, whose picture appears beside DH and JH in that flyer for the meeting in Anchorage Alaska, then spread the word via his preaching meetings that DC and [yours truly] had read the "Rise and Fall of the Third Reich," and used that as motivation to go out and big the "World's Largest Bus Route."  I guess that made us "Nazis."

JC, on the other hand told me that he had read a book about Al Capone and his gang, and he (JC) admired his tactics and such -- so I guess that made JC and his crowd "gangsters."

I had seen the picture of Dr. Hyles standing in front of the old church building while it burned, wearing his hat and overcoat.  I went out and bought the same, and pretty soon lots of preacher boys emulated that, and we all looked like "gangsters" and thugs, and such.

That's the only thing I can figure.

What Vince is not so honest?

Say it isn't so

Another trait of his hero

Nah, Pee Wee Herman might be a better choice.

Hmmm....Pee Wee (the actor) is queer.  You know something about Vinnie the rest of us don't know?
So is John Revolting a 'quee-uh' (said in best brooklyn brogue, of course).

Anishinabe

Looks like maybe y'all run him off.  Might some be getting a little personal in their acrimony?

Ummmm, HAMburger....

I remember a Dave Hyles sermon extolling the organizational and innovative techniques employed by Lucky Luciano in expanding the role of organized crime into drugs and the creation of Las Vegas.

I personally think that he was just here to get material for his book he says he is writing.  I feel that he tried to draw out info and had to play both sides to get it but it bit him on the backside and we did not play along.

Just my thoughts

Vince has left the building.

Oh, no!  You didn't just claim that this was a Massi who was "documenting" material about HAC & fundamentalists, did you?

I think I read several posts that inquired if he was related to Jeri. I also recall he ignored them. Then again, I haven't been here every day lately.

He is Jeri's brother.  I think that was stated, somewhere, but not by him.  I have always known him to ignore the question.  He went to HAC and moved on to OBC with Vineyard.  Jeri went to Bob Jones.  On many important issues, they seem to have very different views.  Whether it is true or not, I am not certain, but have been told the two of them do not get along.  Besides, if Jeri were YOUR sister, would you want to say much about it?

It seems like every forum has their posters that are a bit "out there".  Recently Vince has filled that position on the FFF.  Here are a few observations:

* Vince attended HAC in the early days.
* Vince speaks of a group of HAC guys that would threaten and bully other students.  He speaks of all of their terrible acts, yet he conveniently made a promise 40 years ago that he would not name names.
* Vince claims that Jim Vineyard knew what this group of guys were doing, yet he let it continue.
* Vince was bothered so much by what Vineyard was doing that he decided to go to work for him after leaving HAC.  Vince justifies this move because of the "results" he saw while working for Vineyard.
* Vince speaks of HAC "doctoring" student records, yet he never gives a real example.
* Vince is critical of the group that was chosen for the "Who's Who".  Some of them did some terrible things, yet he will not mention a name.
* As Vince makes all of these accusations he will receive a question from time-to-time.  He avoids answering 90% of the questions.
* If someone asks Vince a question about Vineyard he will act as if the person asking the question has problems with Vineyard.  He will follow it up by telling the person they need to forgive Vineyard.
* Some FFF posters feel that Vince is a poster from the old FFF coming to the new FFF.

So, has anyone figured Vince out?

Sounds like Vince wanted to be a part of the cool kids but could never fit in.  LOL!!!!!
